Chapter 125
“He’s despicable and shameless, but aren’t you also that way?” Angela asked as she retreated with vigilance written all over her face.
Trevor initiated a video call again.
Dexter took more than ten seconds to answer, only appearing on the other side of the video call after a while.
He seemed to be having a candlelight dinner with someone, the flickering light casting dark shadows across his chiseled features.
“Dexter, who’s that?” As a gentle voice sounded, Angela instantly tensed up.
It was Elena. Ha! How funny.
Angela had expected Dexter to not care about her, but she didn’t expect him to be this heartless.
After all, she was still his wife in name. Even if he didn’t care about her well–being, shouldn’t he at least care about the Bamford family’s reputation? How could he still be…
“Dexter, since you don’t care about your wife, there’s no point in keeping her. I’ll just give her to my men.” Trevor spoke with a stern look and a vicious glint in his eyes.
As Dexter’s tense face finally showed anger, the spoon in his hand bent out of shape. ” Trevor, you’re digging your own grave!”
Trevor burst out laughing. “You’ve finally shown me a reaction, Dexter. I thought you didn’t care about her at all.”
Trevor was excited and thrilled as if he had been waiting his whole life for Dexter to show anger for the first time.
He signaled to his bodyguard, who immediately gave a lewd grin while inching toward Angela like a vile beast..
Angela instantly paled. On one side was Dexter enjoying a candlelight dinner with another woman. On the other was Trevor menacingly looking at her, and on yet another was the vile, menacing assailant.
The composure she had struggled to maintain finally crumbled. Gritting her teeth, she barked, “Trevor, if I die today, so be it. But if I survive, I’ll definitely make you pay!”
With that, she leaped into the void. She never thought it would come to this,
The day she arrived, she noticed a rather large man–made lake below the east side of the building.

She wouldn’t have dared to take this risk unless it was absolutely necessary. But at this moment, she was at her limit.
The sound of wind roared in her ears, and the feeling of weightlessness made her feel like her heart was about to leap from her chest.
What she didn’t know was that at the moment she leaped down, the rooftop was breached, and Trevor was immediately apprehended.
The icy, bone–chilling lake water slammed into her every organ as if trying to tear her
apart.
Not knowing how much time had passed since she jumped, she was jolted awake by a sharp pain.
The moment she opened her eyes, the glaring white ceiling came into view. The faint smell of disinfectant reached her nose, making it itch.
“You’re awake. How are you feeling?” It was Finn. “I’ll get the doctor to check on you.”
