The crowd parted, and Angela walked over with a calm expression, followed by Dexter. 

“Go on–how should you be punished?” Natalie leaned back in bed, still exuding an overbearing attitude. 

Angela was a bit confused. “Me? Why should I be punished?” 

“All of this happened because of you. If you hadn’t participated in that ridiculous competition, none of this would’ve happened, and the family wouldn’t be in turmoil!” 

Natalie sneered coldly, a hint of mockery in her eyes. “You went to compete with your pathetic skills? All you did was be an embarrassment.” 

Angela was stunned. 

Natalie had been cold in the past but had never been this unreasonable. 

“How does this have anything to do with Angie? You’ve really become muddleheaded,” Joseph said as he entered. 

He had been feeling unwell for the past couple of days and had been resting, only managing to get out of bed today. 

“This is all because you’ve.been coddling her and letting this spoiled woman have her way. That’s how she was able to make such a mess of things,” Natalie lashed out 

indiscriminately, and even Joseph wasn’t spared. 

“That’s enough.” Joseph sighed heavily, signaling Dexter to lead Fiona and Angela out. 

After assessing the situation, Dexter led the two of them out. 

On the way home, the three of them were silent. 

Angela’s mind was a mess. As both work matters and family issues overwhelmed her, her head felt ready to explode. 

“You should stay at our place for the next few days before we figure out what to do next.” Dexter suddenly spoke while driving, just as they were nearing home. 

Angela had no objections since Fiona was the biggest victim in this situation and knew the latter must be feeling distraught. 

“The matter of my divorce from your father shouldn’t be made public, at least not for now, “Fiona uttered through gritted teeth. 

“Alright.” Dexter nodded. “I’ve specified in the agreement that the right to make public statements is yours. If he spreads nonsense, he ll be charged with slander and defamation.

She seemed surprised that Dexter would so firmly side with her, 

Dexter remained silent for a long time. After they got home and parked the car, he finally answered slowly, “If you were the one who made the mistake, then the person I’d be cutting ties with today would be you,” 

Angela originally planned to go to work the next day since the matters regarding the previous competition hadn’t been fully taken care of yet. 

But after explaining the situation to Callum, he gave her an additional week of paid leave, telling her to recover before returning to work. 

He mentioned that during this time, the design work would be handled by his assistant. 

Feeling relieved, Angela focused entirely on resting at home while livestreaming again. 

As she went online after a long hiatus, she attracted a large wave of new followers. 

However, to her surprise, another livestreaming artist appeared online. 

This wasn’t particularly alarming, but their art style was very similar to hers, and they claimed to be a mentee of Lydia Fisher, a famous designer.
