Chapter 138
Everyone knew that they would have been through hell without Angela’s self–sacrifice during this trip to Montivale.
“No, the disaster was my fault. I had to do what lid. I needed to shield you at the critical moment rather than let you all endure fear alongside me,” Angela said. ”
The group fell silent, tears welling in everyone’s eyes.
“Alright. We should be glad that we’re all fine, okay? Anyway, we won the championship. Those guys in Division Two must be so envious, no?” Angela remarked with a smile.
Alan snorted. “Them? Even if they tried, they couldn’t even be us. Angela, Mr. Snowden said he’d only present the rewards after you returned. It could be today or tomorrow.”
Not long after he said that, Callum personally arrived at the design department with two of his assistants.
He gathered everyone for a brief meeting.
“Ms. Graham led her small team to brave the competition, and they lived up to expectations, bringing back excellent results. Let’s give a round of applause for our warriors,” Callum said, breaking into an uncharacteristically sincere smile as he led the applause.
Angela felt her face heat up, She stood, bowed slightly to everyone, and quickly sat back down.
“Heroes deserve rewards. This team not only brought honor to themselves but also brought great pride to our company. As such, I’ve decided that Ms. Graham will receive a personal bonus of 20 thousand dollars, and each team member will receive five thousand dollars.”
“Thank you, Mr. Snowden!” Alan shouted excitedly at the top of his lungs.
Division One erupted in cheers once again. In stark contrast, Division Two was dead silent.
Their massive group of 70 to 80 members had carefully selected two representatives.
One of them turned out to be a scumbag who tried to harm his teammates, leaving only Flora to represent them.
Before the competition, Division Two was gloating and eager to watch the drama unfold. But right then, they were just as silent, stunned, and shaken to their core.
Many wondered whether Angela was simply too extraordinary or if Division Two had worsened so much that they couldn’t compete anymore.
It was indeed a mystery.
After the rewards were given, Callum asked Angela to stay.
“How are you feeling now? Let me know if you need anything,” Callum said warmly, his tone full of concern.
