Her assistant recounted everything that had happened recently at Bamford Estate,” including Erica’s repeated provocations, Angela’s angry retaliation, and even her leaving the house.
After Fiona got into the back seat of her car, she opened her laptop to start a video conference with the company’s shareholders and took a moment to say, “Tell Erica to tone it down. If she keeps overstepping her boundaries, she can leave.”
After Fiona left, the atmosphere at Bamford Estate became even more gloomy.
It was at this time that Erica arrived.
“What on earth happened? How did Mr. Bamford get injured?” she demanded angrily.
Angela shrugged and said, “Go see for yourself, but I doubt Dexter will let you look at his injury.”
After shooting a fierce glare at Angela, Erica turned and hurried inside. The moment she entered, Dexter immediately chased her out with an immensely displeased expression.
“Angela, get in here!” Dexter called out frigidly.
As she walked in, she brushed past Erica, who shot her a resentful look full of hostility.” You wretched woman. What kind of trick did you pull?”
Angela shrugged again and said, “Want to know? Listen up. I’ll only say it once.”
She gave a mischievous smile, the corner of her mouth curving up. “If Dexter ever tries anything with you, just kick him hard. If he’s unable to rise, you’re safe. Got it?”
Without waiting for a response, she walked briskly into the room.
Inside, two doctors stood by the bed, each holding a tray of medical supplies containing mostly topical treatments.
“Ms. Graham, you’ll need to disinfect the area with iodine and then apply this ointment. You’ll have to use your fingertips to spread it gently. Don’t use a cotton swab, as it will absorb the medication-”
“Why are you telling me this? You don’t expect me to apply it, do you?” Angela’s expression soured right away.
“You caused my injury. Don’t you think you should take up some responsibility?” Dexter questioned coldly.
With that, the doctors set down the supplies and left.
Angela turned her back to him. “I’m not doing it!”

“Fine, I’ll just call Royce
now and have him lock up your useless gambler of a half–brother. He’s worthless anyway,” Dexter threatened, knowing exactly how to hit her weak spot.
Left with no choice, Angela reluctantly picked up the gauze. She wanted to strangle Dexter. Couldn’t he handle something this private himself?
Grinding her teeth, she yanked down his pants roughly.
“What are you doing?” Dexter growled through clenched teeth.
Impatiently, she replied, “If you don’t like what I’m doing, get someone else to do it!”
With that, she set to work with determination.
