Love and Devotion No Longer His to Claim (Angela and Dexter) novel Chapter 273

Zack recalled that Angela had recently mentioned her official divorce from Dexter, stating that they were no longer married. He couldn't help but question why Dexter was there, attending to her with such care and attention.

He scratched his head in confusion, unable to piece it all together. Finally, he blurted out, "Dexter, Angela and you... Aren't you two..."

Dexter glanced at him. "What?"

Zack asked directly, "You two are divorced, yet you still have feelings for her. Are you trying to win her back now?"

Dexter was stunned, feeling slightly embarrassed.

Zack sat down next to him with a silly smile. "It's alright, Dexter. We're family; you don't have to be shy. In the past, I thought it was fine if you divorced her, as I believed she didn't deserve you.

"But I've come to realize that Angela is truly exceptional, and you barely measure up to her. If you're serious about winning her back, I can help you. What do you say?"

Dexter boldly remarked, "What assistance can you offer? You don't seem to have any influence over her."

That wounded Zack's self-esteem. "That's not true. Angela's always treated me well. Although she's against my parents, she has always supported me. She even spent so much money to save me. After all, I'm her only brother."

Throughout the day, a crowd of visitors came to see Angela. Since she was still sleeping, Dexter stopped them. Once she woke up, he permitted Callum to enter.

"Mr. Snowden, I'm sorry. I intended to reach out to you, but I encountered some unexpected issues. Besides, someone else has already addressed the factory's problems, so there's no need for me to trouble you." Angela sounded genuinely apologetic and sincere.

Callum gazed at her quietly and gently. He didn't seem to care that she'd missed her appointment with him.

He replied, "It's okay. I'm just glad you're alright. If you need help next time, I can—"
