Marco's face flushed with embarrassment. After a thoughtful pause, he suggested, "Ms. Winslow, let's be lenient. How about I dock half a month's salary from his pay?"
Clara remained silent.
Damian sat nervously in the corner, his blank stare revealing his anxiety. He had barely been at work for two weeks, and now he faced a potential fine. Clearly, Marco wasn't doing that well in the company to protect him.
"How about this? I'll ask him to apologize to you, and then I'll ensure that he..."
Marco shifted the topic, changing tacks. "Ms. Winslow, the department of supervision has upset many in the company lately. Bringing this issue to light again could put you and Ms. Graham in a difficult position. We're all here for the company's benefit, so let's discuss and resolve this."
Clara paused to reflect before deciding to set the issue aside for the moment. "Terminate his employment, and make sure you explain it to Ms. Graham in person. Otherwise, don't hold me responsible for taking a ruthless approach."
Once she had dealt with Damian, she would inform Angela privately. There was no need to publicize the matter.
Marco nodded eagerly and motioned to Damian, prompting him to apologize.
Damian's expression shifted dramatically, and after a moment of hesitation, he finally bowed his head and agreed reluctantly. He muttered, "Fine."
Then, he turned to Clara. "I was wrong. I'm sorry."
He was deeply reluctant to apologize.
Clara considered simply firing the scoundrel and leaving Marco to handle the rest.
Yet, just as she was about to voice her decision, she caught a glimmer of excitement in Damian's eyes. In that instant, his gaze was fixated on her V-neckline.
