Love and Devotion No Longer His to Claim (Angela and Dexter) novel Chapter 382

The next day, Angela held Leo for the first time.

Angela was in awe. She could hardly describe the feeling when the nurse carefully placed the tiny, pink baby in her arms.

Her reaction perfectly captured the mix of shock, excitement, helplessness, and wonder that new life brought.

Leo's eyes looked just like Mia's. At that moment, Angela suddenly realized how incredible Mia was. This tiny, adorable child had come from her frail body!

"Hi, Leo. I'm your godmother. You can call me Godmom." Angela rocked the baby gently, grinning so wide her eyes turned into crescents.

She had to admit—Mia's baby was super adorable.

Maybe she was biased as his godmother, but even though Leo was still red and wrinkly like a little monkey, she still found him utterly charming.

A warm sense of joy filled Angela's heart. And yet, no matter how much she adored Leo, she couldn't erase the memory of Mia's agony in the delivery room.

One thing was certain—if she ever considered having a child, she would think long and hard before making that decision.

"Here, Leo. This is a big gold necklace from your godmother. I wish you a lifetime of good health and happiness."

After Angela gently placed Leo back into Mia's arms, she took out the gold necklace she had prepared in advance, carefully putting it around Leo's neck.

Mia couldn't stop smiling. "I haven't even agreed yet, and you're already calling yourself his godmother?"

Angela kept her eyes on Leo, grinning just as brightly. "It's too late to refuse now. He's so cute that he can only be my godson. I'm spoiling him now so that he'll be good to me when he grows up."

Mia let out a resigned chuckle. "Alright, fine. With such an amazing godmother, I guess I don't have to worry about him anymore."

Beaming, Angela started walking around the room with Leo in her arms, playfully teasing him. She couldn't get enough of his cute cooes.

Just then, there was a knock on the door.
