Chapter 76
“Don’t worry about it,” Angela replied with a faint smile. She seemed entirely unbothered.
The group walked past them with a mocking expression, further infuriating everyone from
Division One.
“What’s there to be smug about?” Clara huffed. She glared at their retreating figures, too angry to say anything else.
The others felt the same–frustrated but utterly powerless.
After a while, Alan chucked awkwardly to break the silence. “Ms. Graham, maybe we should just head back?”
“I agree. This event doesn’t even seem worth attending, “George added dismissively.
“Exactly. What’s so great about it anyway? Why do they have to be so particular about a ticket? We shouldn’t have to tolerate that!” Alicia Sloan, another employee under Division One, chimed in.
Angela chuckled helplessly. “Don’t worry, everyone. She’ll be here soon.”
The team exchanged puzzled looks. Although they were disheartened, they couldn’t bring themselves to leave and make things difficult for Angela.
Soon, the security began to dismantle the reception area and the main doors to the hall were about to close.
Just then, a slender figure walked out of the building. She stepped out into the light, excluding confidence and a unique charm.
Angela waved at her.
“Sorry for the delay. I was caught up with something,” Fiona said as she stepped closer.
She took a brief glance at the group behind Angela. Seeing their energetic and determined expression, she couldn’t help but smile.
“Don’t worry about it, Mom. Let me introduce you to my colleagues–everyone’s incredibly talented. They’re all thrilled to be here today,” Angela said confidently with a bright smile.
She had completely shed her once timid self and now exuded the composure and authority of a true leader.
Fiona gave Angela a long look, clearly pleased with her transformation. She smiled. “That’s great to hear. Come on, everyone, let’s head inside.”
Fiona and Angela led the group into the venue. Behind them, murmurs of curiosity filled

the air.
“Isn’t there a rumor that the both of them don’t get along? This doesn’t add up. Who was the one who started that nonsense?” Alan asked, his surprise evident.
As Angela and Fiona entered, they immediately drew the attention of the crowd.
When Elena noticed them, her expression hardened, and a hint of darkness flashed across her eyes. She subtly gestured for Dexter to look in their direction.
“What are you doing here?” Dexter immediately marched up to Angela. His voice was cold and stern. He glanced at the group behind her. Did you bring these people with you? Get them out of here right now!”
“Mom, look at Dexter! He’s being so harsh with me again. He’s always making it difficult for me to work,” Angela said.
