Clara took a more direct approach. She grabbed Angela’s shoulder and said, “Angela, men are nothing but hot air. Just treat him like air and let him go! You’ve got us who’ve been through thick and thin with you! We’re better than those men!”
“Angela, we’ll take you out someday to have fun with some male models!” someone else boldly chimed in.
Angela couldn’t help but feel amused.
Her spirits were much lighter now.
When the classes finally ended, Fiona was waiting for Angela outside the venue. She said she wanted to take her to Bamford Manor for dinner.
Joseph had already prepared a table full of Angela’s favorite dishes. “Come, Angie. You’ve been working so hard for the past few days. You need to feed and replenish yourself! Look at those dark circles under your eyes. Have you been staying up late again? You’re young. You can’t torture your body like that. It’s terrible for your health, do you understand?”
Joseph enthusiastically piled food onto her plate until it was overflowing.
Angela helplessly took each bite, yet the pile of food on her plate seemed endless.
“You’re being so nice to Angela, Grandpa. I’m starting to get jealous,” Cecilia teased across
the table.
Joseph laughed. “Cece has also been performing well lately. Top of your grade again in the midterms, right? I’m so proud of you.”
He then had the household staff serve Cecilia her favorite dishes as well.
Cecilia smiled sweetly. “Thank you, Grandpa. I’ll make sure to learn from Angela in the
future.”
Her words pleased Joseph.
Ursula watched them with a gentle smile at the side. She was about to speak before Joseph turned to Fiona. “Fiona, I heard you took Angie to that training session at Bamford Co. today. Very well done!”
Everyone was stunned.
Fiona seemed momentarily stunned too. She was so used to being met with indifference that she couldn’t quite believe that Joseph had praised her.
She didn’t know how to respond for a moment.
“Grandpa, not only did Mom bring me to the session, but she even arranged a seat for me.

She’s also the one who brought me home today” Angela said with a smile as she picked up a large braised meatball and placed it on Fiona’s plate.
Joseph seemed happier at the sight of that. The atmosphere at the dining table felt warm and harmonious for the first time.
Fiona glanced at Angela beside her with a complicated expression.
Dexter arrived fashionably late at that moment.
Joseph’s mood soured immediately at the sight of him. “Why are you coming back this late? Let me ask you, were you…

“Grandpa, here, have some fish,” Angela interrupted before he could finish.
He caught on and let the matter drop, signaling for someone to bring Dexter a set of utensils.
However, another issue arose soon.
Joseph insisted that Angela stay the night and share the room with Dexter.
