Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1142

Chapter 1142 Child’s Play

Lara counted on her fingers and said, “Whether it’s wealth, knowledge, appearance, or family background, he’s a

loser-”

“Stop!”

Beatrix didn’t want to argue with her about these things. She just smiled and said, “Lara, since you admire Gautier so much, why don’t you just marry him? Both of you are unmarried, so it’s a perfect match! Why bother bothering Mackenzie? Disgusting!”

“You…”

Lara was momentarily speechless.

Beatrix triumphantly pushed her, but unfortunately, there was a difference in body weight, and she couldn’t push her away. Nevertheless, she proudly prepared to go back to her room.

Hmph, too easy! So what if you focus on the details? What’s important is the big picture!

“Stop right there, you pipsqueak!” Lara refused to accept it. She could accept losing to anyone in this family, but she couldn’t accept losing to Beatrix.

In a moment of desperation, she forcefully pulled Beatrix’s clothes.

Little did she expect that she would pull too hard and tear Beatrix’s suspender dress, revealing her pink bra.

“Lara, what are you-” Beatrix quickly covered her chest, turned around, and glared at Lara.

“Sorry about that; I didn’t mean to.” Lara casually apologized and turned to leave.

This time, it was Beatrix who wouldn’t let her go. She pounced on her and held her back.

The two sisters had fought a lot when they were young because they were close in age.

Although they hadn’t fought for many years, that familiar feeling the moment they started fighting hadn’t

disappeared.

Although Beatrix was a little firecracker, she was at a disadvantage in terms of physique. Moreover, Lara had spent several years practicing kickboxing abroad, so she was no match for her now.

In the struggle, she was knocked down by Lara. The already torn dress was even more damaged, leaving her somewhat exposed.

The servants who rushed over saw that it was the two young ladies fighting and didn’t dare to interfere for fear of offending either side.

“You… You wicked woman! How dare you bully me!” Beatrix cried out in grievance, on the verge of tears.

“Come on, you were the one who started it. What’s the point of crying here after losing? Loser!” Lara showed no remorse at all. She even seemed proud, thinking that her years of kickboxing training had not been in vain.

Hmph, this is for you, Beatrix! From now on, you’d better know your place in the family.

“What’s wrong, Beatrix?” Emmanuel happened to be on his way to Mackenzie’s room when he passed by and witnessed this scene, his face immediately turning cold.

He didn’t know what had happened, but seeing Beatrix being treated so cruelly, he thought Lara had gone too far.

“Manuel, she attacked me for no reason and even tore my clothes!” Beatrix complained while Emmanuel helped her up, tears streaming down her face.

Emmanuel immediately turned serious and said to Lara, “I don’t care about your conflicts, but we are all part of the Quillen family. No one is allowed to use violence at home, understand?”

Lara was taken aback for a moment, then sneered. “Who are you to lecture me? I don’t recognize you as my

brother-in-law!”

Emmanuel’s face grew stern. “I don’t care if you recognize me or not, but you must apologize to Beatrix right now!”

“Not a chance. Leave me alone!”

Lara coldly laughed and suddenly threw a punch at Emmanuel.

I haven’t even settled the score with him for hitting Gautier at work. Perfect. I’ll deal with him right now. Let’s see how

this kept man would react!
