Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 1311

Chapter 1311 Reborn Like a Phoenix

The moonlight was captivating.

“Ms. Zelinsky.”

Dominique and Blake had been waiting outside the door. When they saw Hattie coming out, Dominique finally let out a sigh of relief and hurriedly ran over.

No one would have thought that the esteemed daughter of the Zelinsky family, the chairman of Aerelle Group, would almost end up in jail in Yeringham. If this matter were to be fully exposed, it would undoubtedly cause a major scandal.

“Get in the car. I want to see Magnus,” Hattie ordered directly.

Blake and Dominique were both slightly startled before quickly agreeing.

Soon, Hattie arrived at a secluded building.

In the dim room, there was a scholarly man, still wearing glasses and reading a book in the middle of the night.

The room had a door made of rusty iron, resembling a special prison.

Upon hearing movement outside the door, the scholarly man did not look out. He calmly said, “Hattie, you finally

came to see me.”

That night, he was supposed to go with Blake and a group of skilled individuals to deal with Saintess and Emmanuel, as well as take away the Heart of the Sun. Nevertheless, he never expected that when he turned around, his beloved sister would personally knock him unconscious.

Although Hattie was physically weak, her body, which had been exposed to a strange stone, possessed an extraordinary strength beyond that of ordinary people.

In any case, Magnus was no match for her.

“Magnus, I’m sorry.”

As soon as Blake opened the iron door, Hattie walked in with a sad and apologetic face.

Magnus finally put down the book in his hand before standing up and walking over to Hattie. He gently stroked her cheek, wiping away her tears, and smiled faintly.

His smile was so pure that no one could imagine how cruel he could be.

At this moment, he was just a doting older brother to his sister.

“Silly girl, I will never blame you for anything. If it wasn’t for you knocking me out that night, I might never have seen you again.”

After their mother left the Zelinsky family, the two siblings relied on each other in the treacherous family. Magnus became strong in order to protect his sister.

He lived for his sister. No matter what happened, he didn’t need her to apologize.

“Magnus, you may not be able to return to Zovince anymore. When you were unconscious, the Zelinsky family declared you dead and made Maxwell the new heir. I wanted to make a final attempt to retrieve the Heart of the Sun for you, but unfortunately, I failed. So… Hattie said sadly.

The Zelinsky family was a vast and complex clan with various internal factions. The heir, who had fallen out of favor in previous generations, was in an awful position. Magnus Zelinsky and Maxwell had been at odds since childhood, and now Maxwell had become the successor. If Magnus returned to Zovince in the guise of a failure, his future days were bound to be miserable.

In that case, it would be better to continue to pretend that he was dead.

“It’s okay.” Even after hearing such discouraging news, Magnus’ smile remained confident. He pushed his glasses and said, “As long as I still have you and my brain, I still possess the whole world.”

He believed that even if he pretended to have died, he could still be reborn like a phoenix, turning the tables against the wind. It was just a matter of how long he would lie dormant.

While the Yeringham farce was unfolding, Lexi was not idle. She had already helped Terence Group’s subsidiary in Onza find a location.
