Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 395

Chapter 395

Eve’s eyes flashed with a hint of resentment after she saw Emmanuel’s

fluctuating expression. She coldly said, “Emmanuel, have you really let go of

your brothers in arms in the Northern Region? Don’t you want to see them

again? Weren’t you the one who valued loyalty and righteousness the most?”

Eve, that’s enough!”

Emmanuel quickly interrupted her. “Just as people cannot come back to life,

there are some things that can’t be undone. I am now just an ordinary person

in Yeringham. I don’t want and don’t have the qualifications to join the

Northern Region again. If you can contact Commander Stevenson, please

thank him for his kindness on my behalf!”

Eve had always been different from ordinary women. She looked at him for a

while but ultimately just hummed in agreement before lowering her head to

continue devouring the bones.

“Oh, by the way! What’s the story behind the scar on your chest?”

Emmanuel’s gaze was sharp. When sho bont down to eat, her collar revealed

a small part of the scar.

Aside from Eve’s ample bosom, he wouldn’t shy away from such matters as a

gynecologist.

After three years of not seeing each other, he noticed a horrifying scar on her

chest which seemingly spread toward her heart.

If it were any other woman being subjected to such a severe injury, they

might have already died!

“Oh, you mean this?”

She didn’t choose to hide it from him. Instead, she calmly pulled down her

collar and revealed a deep cleavage.

It was still as bottomless as ever!

“It’s nothing significant. I was slashed with a knife when I came to Yeringham

and got into a fight with someone! I will definitely avenge this grudge!”

She spoke of it casually, but Emmanuel couldn’t help but feel the danger in

her words.

However, Eve didn’t want to dwell on it, and he didn’t continue to probe.

Regardless, he couldn’t help feeling a bit regretful.

He knew that although she didn’t care much about her appearance, she had

the looks of a goddess and a nice body that many women envied. Having

such a horrifying scar on her chest was like a crack in a beautiful jade.

“Officers, it’s them! They just crashed into my car and attempted to murder

us!”
