Love at the Wrong Table (Emmanuel Lowe and Mackenzie) novel Chapter 439

Chapter 439

Mackenzie was quite satisfied that Emmanuel didn’t expose her, nor did he

insist that she couldn’t do household chores. Still, she coldly shouted at her

husband to stop him from cleaning up the floor. “Don’t move!”

Startled, the man froze in place before looking at his wife innocently.

“Tonight, the kitchen is mine! If you come to clean up the mess, wouldn’t it

prove I can’t do household chores?”

Her expression was extremely serious as she was determined to prove she

was a good wife who could handle the kitchen!

“Um…”

Emmanuel was stunned for a moment. Since she insists on not getting my

help, I have no choice but to comply, right?

In the end, he respected his wife’s wish and nodded, saying, “Alright. Be

careful, then!”

“What are you trying to say?!”

Feeling a little miffed, Mackenzie said, “Are you looking down on me? I told

you it was just an accident. I know how much dishwashing liquid to use. I’m

not that kind of clueless idiot!”

The man nodded repeatedly. “Y-Yeah, I know!”

After saying that, he quickly left the kitchen, afraid that she would start hitting

him if he stayed even for a moment longer.

However, after leaving the kitchen, he was still worried that his wife might

hurt herself, so he pretended to clean the living room while occasionally

peeking into the kitchen through the doorway.

Fortunately, although she wasn’t very efficient, she was still capable of

washing dishes!

While Mackenzie was still washing dishes, her phone rang.

“Emmanuel, could you help me check who it is?”

“Okay!”

Emmanuel quickly ran over and was stunned for a moment when he saw the

name ‘Felicity.’ Isn’t this my mother-in-law? Why did Mackenzie save her

mother’s number by her first name?

“Who is it?”.

His wife’s voice came again, and he only reacted then and answered, “It’s

Mother. I mean, your mother!”
