Emmanuel couldn’t contain his laughter at Mackenzie’s childish expression.

“Do we really need to compare things like this?” he chuckled.

“Of course! If a woman marries a man who loves her less, she’s at a

significant disadvantage,” Mackenzie replied seriously. Deep down, she

worried that he might take offense or feel unhappy with her words. However,

his response surprised her. Instead of getting upset, he said, “Well, it looks like

I’ll have to love you even more in the future. Otherwise, you’ll be at a

disadvantage!”

The atmosphere in the room shifted with that simple statement, leaving

Mackenzie stunned as she stared at him, utterly agog. His words came

straight from his heart, and this time he could truly feel the love Mackenzie

had for him-something he hadn’t realized before. Of course, he also felt the

depth of his own love for her, surpassing the initial infatuation he had

experienced.
