Mackenzie wasn’t interested to listen to his explanation. She delivered a

tight slap across his face, then turned to leave.

“Hear me out, Ms. Quillen!” Emmanuel grabbed Mackenzie’s wrist.

“Ms. Quillen!” Emmanuel chased after them. At that moment, he couldn’t
