Because of the speech disorder, he had suffered from as a baby, Mark had been obedient and considerate in order to make his mother less sad. Later he had decided to return to Dragon Island as a candidate for the power holder for the sake of Brian and Molly. After being trained for a few years, he had become more sensible and learned to hide what he was actually thinking about. This made him wiser and more rational towards his decisions.

Sensing his son's grief, Molly half squatted in front of Mark and held his cheek between her fingers. In a somewhat heavy tone, she said, "Mark, mommy will never leave you." Seeing that Mark turned his eyes to look at her, she continued with a smile, "No matter what status you are going to have, you will always be an irreplaceable little baby boy in mommy's heart. Do you understand?"

"I know that," Mark answered with a nod. After pressing his lips and hesitating for a while, finally, he pushed his face towards Molly's and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Mark won't let mommy, daddy and Papa Brian down."

At the sound of his son's promise, Molly felt that the happiest thing she had experienced in her life was that she had met Brian, who brought her three wonderful children. Her happiness was so genuine at the moment that she couldn't ask for more. With her family, she felt her life had no regrets.
