Love Began with the First Meeting novel Chapter 1039

"Molly, Brian..." Daniel greeted the couple flatly as he was shocked by their sudden appearance. Just that morning, he had made the call to Molly and now they were already there in front of him. Still stunned, he wondered whether he was hallucinating or whether there was something wrong with his eyes. With such thoughts in his mind, he mindlessly rubbed his eyes with his hand, thinking it would help his situation. When he opened his eyes again, however, Molly and Brian were still there, now walking towards him together with the lovely twins. It felt so unreal, and he felt a smile gradually appear on his face.

While Daniel hadn't been showing any kind of emotion, the members of the commando beside him had been grinning from ear to ear, even whispered amongst each other. They knew that soon, they could relax for a while since Daniel would have to accompany his relatives.

"Daniel!" Molly exclaimed, beaming. Looking at her younger brother, whose skin had turned darker, she felt that she had thousands of things to tell him, but at that moment, she didn't know where, or how to start. Slowly, she walked towards Daniel and when she came upon him, she held out her arms. Daniel did the same and in a second, they were in each other's arms, tearful. "You seem to have grown sturdier, brother," Molly said, tears filling her eyes.

"Of course..." Daniel said, a simple smile gracing his lips. He no longer looked strict as he had been a moment ago as the captain of the commando. His tone also said that he now sounded like a child who was expecting to be praised by his elders.

Raising their heads, Charlie and Evelyn looked up at Daniel with their eyes sparkling and filled with admiration. Anxious and shy, the twins clenched their hands before they greeted Daniel in the same innocent voice, "Uncle Daniel... "

As soon as he heard that, Daniel squatted and looked at the cute twins. In one swift motion, he picked up each twin and carried them in each of his arms. With a smile, he said, "You two are growing up so fast! Look at you Charlie! You're a little man now!" Before he finished what he was trying to say, Evelyn pulled his collar to the other side. Daniel turned his head to look at his niece. With an ingratiating smile, Evelyn gave him a sweet kiss on his cheek, which immediately softened the heart of the strong man. "Dear Evelyn, give Uncle Daniel one more kiss please," Daniel pleaded with his eyes closed.

Wrapping her little arms around Daniel, Evelyn gave him several kisses in succession. It was not until Daniel's cheek was covered with her saliva that she stopped kissing him and burst into chuckles. It seemed that she felt she had taken some advantage of the situation.

While the whole affair was obviously joyous, it was not a pleasure for the men in Falcon Commando to watch as majority of them hadn't gone back home for a long time. Initially, when they had seen that their captain's relatives were there, they had felt grateful that they would have a short holiday. Now, however, all of them felt sad as they have been away from their families for a long time.

"Red Falcon," a sergeant first class said, addressing their deputy captain, when he could not bear seeing the scene any longer. "You'd better ask our captain not to act in this way. Otherwise, I'm sure nobody would be in the mood for training today, and everybody will instead look for a place to cry to mourn how they miss their families. "

Hearing that, Red Falcon looked around the members of the commando, as if checking whether what the sergeant said was true. After seeing the team was truly affected by the moving reunion, he shrugged and said, "You know, that's a good idea. Why don't you say that to him yourself directly? It seems like you don't mind him making you run twenty miles cross-country with weights on you..." Red Falcon had done such a thing before for the sake of his peers. As a result of that, Daniel had felt unhappy and had decided to add training programs for himself. That exhausted him very much, and as a consequence of that, he had become very cautious now. He would not be so unwise to get himself into trouble for the same reason for a second time.

As soon as he heard what Red Falcon said, that sergeant first class shook his head. He clearly knew that Daniel was the devil of the devils in the whole military region as far as training was concerned, despite being good-tempered in his spare time and even childish now.

"Have we disturbed your training?" Brian asked after taking a glance at the members of Falcon Commando, who were still whispering to one another.
