Love Began with the First Meeting novel Chapter 778

"I had seen the news and I saw that you and your mom were at the scene. I was so worried about the two of you, so I went to the scene as soon as I could." After gently pulling Mark aside to sit down in a lounge chair, Spark continued to say, "When I arrived there though, I didn't find either of you. But from what I heard from the crowd that stayed, I simply guessed that Brian and Molly took off before the media caught wind of your identities, so I came to the hospital to look for the two of you."

Both Eric and him were in the same boat in the sense that they loved Molly, but the woman could not reciprocate their love. Due to this shared dilemma, he was granted the privilege to come and go as he pleased in every private industry of the Dragon Empire Group by Eric Long. Nevertheless, Spark had nothing to do with the Dragon Empire Group. This entitlement that was bestowed on him was why he could get into the VIP ward area, and he had never been more glad to have it than that very moment.

"Daddy, do you want to go in and see Mommy?" Mark asked, looking up at him.

Hearing his question, Spark gazed in the direction of the ward. Though his eyes were filled with longing, and it was true that he missed her so much, he shook his head and said, "They must have a lot to talk about. For now, I'm just relieved to know that she's okay." Averting his eyes from the ward, he looked at Mark, and said, "Now that you're back, we'll have plenty of time to get together in the future."

Presently, Mark could not comprehend the complications of the adult world yet. Regardless, he knew it must have taken Spark great efforts to suppress his desire to see Molly for the sake of not intruding.

Meanwhile, in the ward, the atmosphere still felt odd. It was out of place in some sorts, so quiet that even the sound of someone breathing could be heard.

Despite being the only other person in the room, Molly kept her eyes from focusing on Brian. Although the wound was hurting so much, she did her best to endure the pain, and refrained from letting a moan escape her lips.

After what felt like ages, Brian looked at her, and finally, let out a sigh. Reluctantly, he walked up to her, pulled up a chair, and sat on it. "You should leave when you get better," he stated matter-of-factly, devoid of any emotion in his words.

Out of all the things they needed to discuss, Molly did not expect that their first conversation would be this. Furious, she turned her face towards Brian, and stared at him incredulously. That single movement made the wound sting again, causing her to crease her eyebrows. But being the stubborn person that she was, she ignored discomfort and clenched her teeth. "Is that the only thing you want to say to me?" she challenged.

"How about we discuss why you pretended to have amnesia?

Don't you think you owe me an explanation?" At this, Molly's eyes became red again.

When Brian's eyes fell on Molly's flustered face, he said gently, "Mol, I'm tired,"
