Florence's eyes flashed with a chilling resolve as she spoke with a voice as cold as an autumn breeze. "Parisa, let me in the car. I know where your daughter is, and I'll take you to her right now!"
"Let go of me!" Parisa snapped back, quickly pushing her away.
In the midst of their struggle, Parisa suddenly inhaled something strange. It happened so quickly that she couldn't even hold her breath. Her vision blurred rapidly, and she felt her strength ebbing away. Her arm went numb, and she slumped down, powerless to even roll up the car window. Her eyes narrowed with suspicion, "What... what did you give me?"
There was no noticeable smell in the air, but she saw a fine mist emanating from Florence's lips outside the window.
The seemingly frail girl suddenly broke into a terrifying grin, leaning into the open window. "Remember the first day we met? You asked if I'd learned your medical skills?
Why would I? I'm not your daughter.
But I do know a thing or two about poisons.
The brief time we've been talking, puff, was more than enough for me to succeed." Florence blew gently into the car once more.
Parisa felt her airway constricting further, her eyelids heavy and unresponsive. Even as she fought the encroaching weakness with every ounce of strength, she slipped towards the car seat. What colorless, odorless drug was this?
She desperately lunged for the driver's seat, "Bodyguard, run her over!"
But as she turned, her dimming eyes caught sight of a chilling scene: her bodyguard, frozen in the driver's seat, with two masked figures outside his window, guns pointed at him.
The bodyguard glanced apologetically at Parisa, "Ms. Tennyson... by the time I realized it, it was too late. These two must have been waiting here for a while."
Parisa shook her head, trying to stay awake, and turned her gaze, sharp as a dagger, back to Florence.
Florence reached into the car and casually unlocked the door, her smile twisted and ominous. "That's right, I've been lurking around here for quite some time, just for you!"
As Parisa's consciousness slipped away, she shouted, "Bodyguard, don't let them take me alive!"
