Love Burned, She Rose Unscathed novel Chapter 300

Millie was utterly flabbergasted.

“You… you didn't…”

“What? Disappointed?”

Once Murray realized something was wrong, he quickly ran to the bathroom to make himself vomit. The fever he felt was just the lingering effects of the drug.

“If you're fine, then why… why did you act like that before?”

Murray smirked, “Just wanted to see the transition from hope to disappointment, and then to despair on someone's face. It's quite fascinating, don't you think?”

Millie was trembling all over.

“You've got some nerve, drugging me like that. Too bad you've got the guts but not the brains to match.”

“Idiot!”

“Sadie—”

“What do you need, sir?” Sadie entered immediately upon receiving her instructions.

Millie fumbled to put on her robe, but couldn't seem to get it right, looking completely disheveled.

“Pack up her stuff. Within thirty minutes, I want her and her belongings out of here! And change all the security codes. From now on, I don't want anything related to her in this house.”

“Understood, sir.”

Millie was dragged out. Stone-faced, she let Sadie pull her along.

Suddenly, as if waking from a dream, she jerked away, “Don't touch me!”

Sadie paused.

“I'm carrying a Sherwood heir, and you think you, a mere servant, have the right to lay a hand on me?! Think about what your life is worth. If anything happens to me or the child, how many lives do you have to compensate?!”

“When I give birth to a son and marry Murray, you'll be the first one I deal with!”
