Love Burned, She Rose Unscathed novel Chapter 512

After wandering through the park and indulging in some lemon bars, Madge was in high spirits.

The following day, the couple made their way back to Pinehollow.

Roseanne dropped them off at the train station.

Stoner, upon receiving the news, hurried over.

“Ms. Madge, these are letters from your fans that arrived at the publishing house. I was asked to hand them over to you.”

Madge was pleasantly surprised; it was her first time receiving fan mail.

And there was quite a lot of it, a whole bundle.

...

Back home, Roseanne took advantage of the sunny weather to wash the bed linens from two rooms.

By the end of October, the sweltering heat of summer gradually faded, giving way to the cool breeze of fall.

She reorganized her wardrobe, moving summer clothes to the back and bringing autumn outfits to the front for easy access.

By the time she finished, it was already two in the afternoon, and she hadn't had lunch yet.

All that was left in the fridge were two tomatoes.

Sighing in resignation, Roseanne changed her shoes and headed out, realizing a trip to the supermarket was inevitable.

“Heading out now?” she bumped into Owen Reynolds, who was coming upstairs as she was going down.

“Yup,” Roseanne nodded, “I need to pick up some groceries. Ran out of food at home.”

“Perfect, I'll join you.”

Owen immediately turned around to accompany her downstairs.

“What do you need to buy, Professor?”

Owen skillfully dodged the question, simply asking, “Which supermarket?”

There were three nearby.

All within close distance.

Roseanne picked one and asked if it was okay with him.

The question from before naturally fell by the wayside.

Owen replied, “Any works for me.”

In a few minutes, they entered the supermarket.

This was the charm of living in an old city block; everything was convenient, and the amenities were more than sufficient.
