Hertha stomped her foot in frustration as she watched her brother Greg speed off in his car after Roseanne.
"I mean, I'm his sister for crying out loud!"
Not even a "Hey, wanna lift?"...
And all for Roseanne. She couldn't shake the feeling that she and Roseanne were just not meant to get along.
...
At the General Hospital's emergency department, as soon as the doctors had a grasp on Roseanne's situation, they immediately ordered a full-body checkup.
Corley was giving the details, with Owen Reynolds chiming in with every little fact, including how long the fever lasted, what time it broke, what time she started sweating...
Even the doctor gave Owen an extra glance.
After the checkup, Roseanne was wheeled into a room, waking up briefly during the transfer.
Owen immediately leaned in, "Roseanne, can you hear me?"
She nodded weakly.
"It's okay now, you're in the hospital. If you're tired, just go back to sleep."
As soon as he finished speaking, Roseanne closed her eyes again.
Corley, arriving a moment too late, missed his chance to speak with her.
"Why didn't you call me when she woke up?" he asked Owen.
"Not my job."
Besides, he was too busy talking to Roseanne to bother about him.
Corley: "…"
Owen, however, went straight to the attending doctor, "Doc, how's she doing?"
"We've conducted a comprehensive examination. Some of the results will come in later, but for now, her fever has subsided. She's got a severe ankle sprain but thankfully no bone damage. Just needs medication and rest – less walking, more bed rest. Nothing else alarming for the moment."
"Thanks, Doc."
"One of you needs to follow the nurse downstairs to settle the bill…"
"I'll go!" Before Owen and Corley could respond, Murray stepped forward briskly to take the bill.
