Love Burned, She Rose Unscathed novel Chapter 765

"Sure thing. I barely had a chance to look around when we first got here."

Grandma's back wasn't what it used to be, and sitting for too long made her uncomfortable. Roseanne had been thinking about taking her out for a stroll anyway.

The timing was perfect, and she nodded in agreement.

The sky was a muted gray-blue, with the sun playing a game of hide and seek behind the clouds, occasionally peeking through before retreating again.

In deep winter, Lumina City wasn't exactly known for its greenery. Most of the trees were bare, their branches stark against the sky.

But the Rodriguez family garden was a different story.

A sprawling glass greenhouse housed a vibrant array of flowers and plants, blooming regardless of the season, painting the winter landscape with the brightest of colors.

Grandma didn't have many hobbies, but she did love tending to her plants.

At first, she hadn't even wanted to bother with them, but Neely noticed her growing more and more despondent and suggested it as a way to keep her spirits up.

Initially, Grandma didn't get it, didn't want it, but over time, she found herself genuinely interested.

Geneva slipped on a pair of gloves, not minding at all if her clothes got a bit dirty, and knelt down to start weeding the little garden.

Roseanne joined in, trimming the flower branches and loosening the soil around the plants.

Grandma glanced over, noticing how adept Roseanne was, clearly someone used to working with plants.

Not only that, but she seemed to know the quirks of each species—who needed more water, who needed less, and who preferred to be left alone entirely.

"It looks like our Anne is not only good with her studies but also has quite the green thumb," Grandma chuckled.

Not many young folks have the patience for gardening these days.

"It's all thanks to you, Grandma. I'm just here to lend a hand."

Particularly the few jasmine plants at her feet, lush and thriving, promising to grow even more with a bit more time.

Grandma shook her head, smiling, "You always did know how to sweet-talk me."
