Summer looked up.. “Hmm?”
“As Mrs. Graham?” Fraser said.

Although the Graham Group had already announced our marriage, Summer had yet to formally attend any events with me.
Granthera Bank is the largest private bank in the country.
Being invited to the former chairman’s birthday banquet was a privilege reserved only for the elite of the financial world–meaning the event would be nothing short of grand.
In fact, part of Jasper’s Global Plan had been funded by a loan from Granthera Bank.
Just as Fraser was starting to think Summer might refuse, she nodded.
His dark eyes gleamed like polished obsidian as he hooked a finger under her chin, teasing. “Being so obedient… Did you do something bad?”
Summer met his gaze with clear, innocent eyes, her tone laced with testing curiosity. “And if I did… would you forgive me?”
Fraser’s expression turned unreadable as he studied her delicate features, the air between them suddenly thick with tension.
Summer’s heart pounded erratically, her fingers nervously twisting together.
Then, word by deliberate word, he answered.
“I will never stay angry at you.”
His voice was solemn, as if making a vow.
Summer’s eyes stung unexpectedly.
She quickly pressed her forehead against his chest, hiding her wavering emotions. The steady thud of his heartbeat against her ear sent waves of warmth through her.
After a moment, she steadied herself, though her voice still carried a hint of a sniffle.
“I don’t even have a dress for the banquet.”
Fraser had expected her to say something sweet in response–maybe even get emotional.
Instead, she pivoted straight to wardrobe logistics.
This woman… truly had a talent for killing the mood.

A low chuckle rumbled in his chest. “Just wait. You’ll be the most stunning princess there tonight.”
And with that single word–wait. Summer once again witnessed the power of wealth.
The room glowed under brilliant chandeliers, casting a luxurious sheen over every surface.
Servants carefully wheeled in racks upon racks of haute couture gowns, each more exquisite than the last. Silk, lace, and chiffon shimmered under the light, their intricate designs radiating elegance.
Alongside them, hundreds of priceless jewels were meticulously displayed. Diamond necklaces sparkled with icy brilliance, pearl earrings glowed softly, and ruby rings burned like ember transforming the space into a veritable treasure trove.
Three tall models paraded in succession, each adorned in a different custom–made gown, circling gracefully for Summer’s inspection.
Fraser lounged lazily on the sofa, one arm draped along the backrest, the other wrapped around. her waist. He raised a brow. “Take your pick.”
Every dress was the latest season’s most coveted design, hugging the models‘ curves in breathtaking fashion.
Summer’s head spun from the sheer opulence. She randomly pointed at one.
“That one.”
A maid immediately retrieved the chosen gown–a deep V–back, white strapless number with a fishtail skirt that shimmered like a mermaid’s scales.
Summer hadn’t realized her random pick would be so… revealing.
Fraser’s frown was instantaneous, his tone strained. “You’re sure about this one?”
Summer side–eyed his barely concealed displeasure and couldn’t resist teasing him.
“You don’t like it? I think it’s beautiful.”
His jaw tightened, teeth grinding for a second before he forced out a stiff, “If you like it, that’s
what matters.
