When Clarissa woke up the next day, Damien didn’t show up for breakfast either. She wanted to ask Grandpa Lawrence and Mrs. Faber about Damien’s wliereabouts, but she was unable to speak. Therefore, she ended up sitting there and letting her emotions swell in silence.

“Clary, did you get into a light with Damien last night?” Grandpa Lawrence asked Clarissa while she was drinking the soup.

Clarissa nodded in reply.

“Good! It’s finally your turn to drive him out.” Grandpa Lawrence smiled at Clarissa. “He can’t bully you all the time.”

Clarissa lost her appetite and couldn’t finish her fish and chips. Where on earth did Damien go?

Clarissa then told Lily everything that happened yesterday. Damien somehow knew that Joseph gave her chocolates when she gave him the bag. When he got home, he tore Clarissa’s book. The two of them ended up in a heated argument that got so bad, he left the house.

Clarissa deliberately omitted the fact that he forced it on her after she slapped him.

“They say a couple’s fight will end in bed. The two of you didn’t make up in bed?” Lily teased Clarissa. “Don’t mention it.” Clarissa was frustrated. “And stop with the jokes.” The two of them did end up in bed, but it wasn’t pleasant at all. He bullied her, and she even slapped him. It was unpleasant to think about it. “Are you worried about him?” Lily asked.

“I suspect he went to Madelynn and slept with her,” Clarissa said, resentful. She thought Madelynn would probably show off if Damien slept in Madelynn’s bed again. With Madelynn’s character, she might even leave a hint in her Instagram just to provoke Clarissa.

Clarissa deliberately paid special attention to Madelynn’s Instagram today, but she found nothing special. She couldn’t ask Madelynn about Damien either.

Madelynn would probably be ecstatic to know that Damien wasn’t at home with her.

“Shall we go for a walk this afternoon?” Lily asked Clarissa.
