Chapter 244 What Are You So Scared of?

After walking out of the room, Joseph saw that Damien was still seated in the living room. He was smoking.

“Leaving already?” he asked. “You’re not going to continue talking?”

Damien’s tone was filled with sarcasm.

The way he said “talking” caught Joseph’s attention.

What did he think that they were doing?

“Yes, I’m leaving. Goodbye, President Lawrence.” Having said that, Joseph left.

Clarissa remained rooted to the spot for a long time. She felt chilly and a little dizzy, so she wanted to shut the door and go to bed. Before she could do anything, she saw Damien come in.

Damien covered her with two blankets, then went to the bathroom and wet two towels with hot water before putting them on her forehead.
