Chapter 316 What Did You Change It To?
The next day, at Damien’s office.
“Were you the one who told Clarissa about her grandmother?” Damien asked Lily.
The moment Lily stepped into Damien’s office, she seemed to shrink in size. She couldn’t help feeling afraid of him.
Celebrating Landon’s birthday was a personal matter, and she had really wanted to spend it with him, which was why she had agreed to Damien going.
It didn’t mean that she wasn’t afraid of him when they were at work.
She was deathly afraid of him.
“Yes.”
“Don’t tell her these things in the future. Who’s going to be responsible if something happens to her?” Damien didn’t raise his voice, but his warning was clear. It made Lily feel nervous as if she’d done something outrageous.
He was already being very gentle.
“Yes, sir,” Lily said.
“Also, make sure that you don’t tell her about what the PR department’s going to do tomorrow. Don’t let her catch sight of the article you wrote, as well as the one that the media’s going to get,” Damien said gravely.
“What are we doing tomorrow?” Lily was lost.
“Your director will tell you about it. You can leave now.”
She left after that, but she still didn’t know what was going on.
Soon, Director Bynes sent Damien a copy of the itinerary for the next day. Damien gave it the green light.
That afternoon, Lily found out what Damien had been talking about–Madelynn was going to attend a donation ceremony at Pebble Village’s Sunshine Elementary School in River Valley, Eastfield.
She would be donating five million dollars to them to build a new elementary school, and it would be sponsored by New East Corporation.
As part of the PR department, Lily would have to go along to help publicize the event. Aside from that, the article she’d written would be given to the media.
Attending charity functions was part of Madelynn’s comeback plan.
Connie was only an unremarkable rookie, after all. Madelynn had been in the entertainment industry for such a long time, and she hadn’t done anything illegal. After investigation, it had been concluded that she hadn’t committed tax fraud. Since she hadn’t crossed the line, it would be easy for her to make a full comeback. In fact, she would probably become even more popular than before. No one could say anything bad about a celebrity that did charity.
Lily was furious to see this. She knew that Clarissa had once donated computers to Sunshine
