Chapter 421 Will You Be My Girlfriend? In the evening, Clarissa went to the library again. This time, she was happy that she didn‘t bump into Caleb. Just when she was searching for her phone, wondering if she should call Neil, she heard someone calling out to her name downstairs. From the third floor, she could hear his voice loud and clear. Looking toward the source of the sound, the first thing she saw was a heart shape formed by candles, their flickering lights illuminating the night. Caleb stood in the middle of the heart and looked up at her.

Clarissa frowned. She didn’t want to be involved in a scandal with a student the moment she started her career as a lecturer.

Besides, she hated public confessions where she was thrust into the limelight by force. The feeling of being cheered on by a crowd seemed to reflect the lack of confidence by the pursuer.

Noticing that the crowd was slowly increasing its size, Clarissa‘s irritation grew. She stormed downstairs and approached Caleb, yelling, “What are you doing? Are you trying to embarrass me in front of everyone?” “You‘re here!” Caleb looked straight into Clarissa‘s eyes. “I‘m just checking out your place. Now that you‘ve come downstairs , I‘ll stop drawing attention to you. Also, I don‘t think it‘s safe for a woman to live alone in this building.”

Then, he used his basketball to flick off all the candle lights with one swift movement.
