As it turned out, Penelope was standing behind Joseph.

She looked completely different than how she once did when Clarissa still resided in Genovia.

The crowd shot the three of them a short glance before shrugging and returning to minding their own business. No one was particularly interested in the drama. For most of them, their main goal was to expand their network.

Currently, Penelope was clad in a gray pantsuit. Gold-rimmed glasses perched on the bridge of her nose.

“Stop it, Penelope!” Joseph hissed at Penelope.

However, Penelope ignored Joseph and strode haughtily toward Clarissa.

“Long time no see, Miss Johnson.”

“Likewise.”

“So, why are you talking to my boyfriend?” Penelope demanded arrogantly.

“Your boyfriend?” Clarissa never knew that Joseph and Penelope were a couple.

Behind Penelope, Joseph shook his head immediately, as if denying her claim.

“Yes, Miss Johnson. My boyfriend! I understand you might be looking for someone else since you’re divorced, but please don’t seduce what’s mine. Otherwise, you might be a…” Penelope scanned Clarissa critically from head to toe. She knew full well that Damien Lawrence was no longer protecting Clarissa, and that gave her the courage to attack. “You might be called a sl*t!”

“Don’t worry,” Clarissa fought back, undeterred. “I was just hugging him out of politeness. If something so insignificant angers you so much, then I’m afraid you’ll be nothing but trouble to Joseph in the future.”
