Clarissa’s smile was tainted with ill temper. She was probably mocking Damien’s hasty decision.

Now that she was in an argument with Damien, she wasn’t the same as she had been when Theresa had just passed away. Back then, she thought Damien had killed her only remaining family. She had just gone to Emmeria and Lotharia, and she had been dogged by Iris. She hadn’t been able to see or hear from Damien, and she had felt so much pressure in her heart. It was almost like she had been heart sick for him. She was controlled by her negative emotions, feeling like the apocalypse would come the very next day. She kept crying for no reason, completely depressed.

But things were different now. She was in Genovia, and she was even working for Damien. She could see him whenever she wanted. If she was unhappy, she could even vent her frustrations on him. Now, Clarissa had gone back to the way things had been when she had been newly married to Damien.

The difference was that, in the past, she hadn’t known what the future would be like. She thought that she would separate from Damien sooner or later. However, she was now very confident that she meant something to Damien. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have waited for her for three whole years.

Now, Damien was just being stubborn!

Even though Clarissa was still confused and had no idea what had happened, she knew she couldn’t just let Damien get away with this.

“Chanel,” Clarissa finally replit to Bethany.

“Chanel? He married Chanel?” Bethany’s eyes widened. “That two-faced bitch?”

Typically, Clarissa would tell Bethany off for saying such a thing, but today, she kept silent.

“What is Damien trying to pull? That fucker! I’ll go talk to him.” After saying that, Bethany turned to go. “You won’t be able to go back to Hill Villa. How am I supposed to get on Mrs. Faber’s good side now? This is a chain reaction!”

Clarissa was speechless.

Bethany was truly too ruthless. She didn’t see things from Clarissa’s standpoint at all.

Bethany rushed over to Damien’s house.

Luckily, Damien was at home.
