Chapter 99 1 Feel Bad for Damien When Clarissa went to visit her mother, Anne gave her a piece of good news. A few days ago, her mother’s pinky finger had twitched. “Really?” Clarissa was over the moon. Her mother had been in a coma for six years and had finally moved, albeit just a little. “Are you sure you weren’t seeing things?”

Clarissa couldn’t belleve it, so she wanted to get confirmation. “How’s that possible? I’ve cared for so many patients over the years, I can definitely tell the difference between peripheral nerve necrosis and an actual reflex.” Anne was carefully wiping Clarissa’s mother’s hands. “Thank you, Anne.” Tears filled Clarissa’s eyes. She felt that Anne was the main contributor to her mother’s improvement, and thus she was extremely grateful.

“Alright, alright, It’s what I’m supposed to do.” Anne rubbed Clarissa on the head.

In the evening, she and Lily went to Lily’s sister’s home at Southern Paradise on East River Avenue. It was a lovely neighborhood

Landon opened the door.

“Why are you dressed like that?” He was surprised to see Clarissa dressed like a high school student.

Clarissa didn’t speak much that night. Coupled with her shabby clothes, she made Lily seem like a goddess.

Under the pretense of visiting her sister, Lily paid her future parents-in-law a visit. Landon’s parents had a great impression of her, and she was elated.
