Carla was more than sure that there would not be any problem with Terence's grandfather.

Thus, choosing between his father and grandfather, she assumed that it would be his father.

"Carla, I want to marry you because I want you to be happy. We will have plenty of time to do the things we want. I want you to look forward to our married life instead of fearing the worst. Do you agree with me?"

Terence asked while looking at her dotingly.

"I know. Do what you have to do and I will follow your lead," she replied.

A relieved smile spread over Terence's face upon hearing Carla. If only this woman knew how other girls were dying to be his wife. Sometimes, he couldn't even believe all these troubles he had to go through to convince her.

Terence explained as he printed his name at the bottom of the paper he was holding. He then also handed it to the clerk.

Carla pouted her lips upon hearing him. She wondered if he was still angry with her because of how she secretly ran away from the hospital.

It was just that she didn't have any option at that time.

How on earth could she pretend that everything was okay after reading the doctor's record and finding out that there was a probability of her being infertile.

After stamping the two copies of marriage certificates, the clerk handed the papers back to Carla and Terence.

"You're officially my woman, Carla." Terence couldn't stop smiling. He tilted her chin and landed a kiss on her lips. She was still stunned while looking at their marriage certificates. "No one can steal you from me from now on. You should be beside me every day," he said.

"What are you looking so smug about? You are my man from now on too. And you should also be by my side so that I can bully you!" Carla retorted with a sarcastic smile. She quickly put the marriage certificate inside her bag.

"Of course," he agreed with a wide grin. "I will let you bully me for the rest of my life. You can even ride on my head if you want to. I'm just here for you." A cheeky grin cracked Terence lips as he spoke.

Smiling sweetly, Carla gently pushed his handsome face away and leaned on his shoulder.

Their hands were clasped together tightly.

Terence took her home after the small ceremony. He changed his clothes and freshened himself up. He didn't even take a rest and just immediately went to the An's Manor with her.

He wanted everything to be done as soon as possible since he only had a month to prepare for the wedding.

Carla sat on the sofa with her legs closed, looking self-conscious. Terence who was sitting beside her tightly held her hand while Edmund was sitting opposite them.
