I was delirious. It took a while for me to register what happened until it came to my senses that I came in her mouth.

I stared perplexed at the ceiling as I tried to catch my breath.

I sat straight and drunk the content. “Thanks. How long did I pass out? This isn’t how I imagined my first date with you. I was thinking of a romantic dinner date with candlelit, a delicious meal, and then we danced after that.”

She smiled. “We can still have our second date. What do you think?”

“We’ll have more dates to come anywhere in the world.”

“Sounds fun. You should answer your call. It has been ringing for two hours. Could be urgent.” I grabbed it from the sofa and checked the missed calls.

“It’s Krys.” My brows furrowed. She also sent me a couple of messages.

I dialed her.

Krystyn answered with her first bark. “Where the hell have you been? I know you’re with River. Where is she?” She then lowered her voice. “You’re not—I mean, I’m not disturbing, right?”

“Thanks for the concern, but you’re calling me to look for River? You didn’t even ask if I’m okay after the rain?”

She tsked. “Don’t be such a baby. Where’s she?”

“My girlfriend is busy, okay?” I ignored the sudden rigidness of River’s body between my legs. I didn’t know if I had the right to call her my girlfriend, but I had no plan on it back. “Go find someone else to bother. She’s writing some songs.”

“Wow! I’m so happy for her. So, you two are like an item now?”

“Why so suddenly nosy, Krys?”

“Where’s her phone?”

I touched River’s shoulder. “Krys is asking about your phone.”

She looked up at me with those big blue eyes, smiling. “In my bag. Why?”

“Why?” I asked Krys.

“She should check it. Her phone might be blowing with notifications right now.”

“Why? What’s going on?”

“I missed telling you that she started her vlog on YouTube. Can you please, big brother, put it on loudspeaker so that I don’t have to repeat my words?”

“Fine.” I did as she asked. “She’s listening.”

“Kai posted a clip on Instagram, introducing River. Since our big brother has 2m followers, they all went crazy asking, who’s the lucky girl. Before you’d go apecrap, Kai mentioned that she’s taken, so shut that scowl before you shift into your wolf form.”

“I’m not scowling. Even if dear brother’s rep precedes him, I trust him with River.”

 “Great. Now they’ve been following River nonstop on her IG and subs on YouTube. You should check it out, Krew.”

“Wow,” that’s all River had managed to say.

“Isn’t it crazy?”

“I’ll call you back. Let us check it.” I went to my IG, which was in private, but I was following River already. “Come here, baby.” I pulled her into my lap. “Holy fuck! I just followed you yesterday. You only have one-thousand plus followers.”

“Oh, my god. What just happened? How did I get ten thousand followers in one day? This is insane .”

“Let’s check out your channel.” I went to my YouTube app and typed her name. “I guess, you just become instant fame, baby. You have—”

“Fifteen thousand followers from two hundred! I-I don’t know what to say.” She had this stunned-looked that I loved.

“You should say yes to that guy who wants to collab with you.”
