I walked along the red carpet leading to the hotel's entrance. Before I could enter, a security guard stopped me and asked to see my invitation.
In fact, I had already prepared a forged invitation, but I did not show it to him. Instead, I kicked up a fuss.
"Are you blind? I'm the bride's elder sister. Why do I still need to show you my invitation?"
At this time, there were still guests heading into the hotel. They turned to look at me and started whispering among themselves at my antics.
This was exactly what I wanted. I was not afraid to cause a ruckus, and I wanted it to be as big as possible.
The security guards did not dare to get into a fight with me. One of them headed inside and brought Bell out with him a little while later.
He was a little surprised to see me. I could see the fury that immediately started to burn in his eyes.
"You're not invited to your sister's wedding. What are you doing here?" He growled at me.
"You said so yourself. It's my sister's wedding, so shouldn't I be present to give her my blessings? Phoebe did verbally invite me, you know!"
Bell snorted. "I know you well enough to know that there's no way you'd be that kind."
"If so, I'm sorry to say that you really don't know me all that well, then. I have to attend this wedding no matter what!" I said obstinately.
At such a time and place, I was not intimidated by Bell at all.
Bell frowned at my words. He knew it was not the right time for him to act up, so he gave it some thought and said, "I won't make things hard for you in view of the circumstances. You can attend if you want to, but you'd better be on your best behavior. Don't think of pulling anything funny, or you'll be in for it!"
