Chapter 228 Gossip Dies Down
Melanie chided herself for the careless mistake of posting the tweets at home. She continued to think things through, and she was even more determined to carry out her plan.
However, now was not the time to act. Morales and Morgan were not back yet, so she could not do anything. How was she going to deal with the news online?
Feeling rather helpless, Melanie turned to Josie and asked, “Mom, what should I do now?”
Josie sighed, and her tone was a little accusatory as she said, “I told you to just bear with it for now, but you didn’t listen to me.”
It had to be said that Josie was fretting too. If Hanson did decide to look into everything, they would surely be exposed, and it went without saying that Vania would not be letting them get away with this either.
“Mom, you didn’t try to stop me when I released the news, so what’s the point of saying this now? Hurry up and think of a way out of this. What should we do now?” Melanie huffed. She was beginning to regret her recklessness too.
Josie rested her forehead against her hand and said, “What else can we do? Whatever you do right now will just make things worse. Stop paying any attention to this. Just let the news die out by itself. We’ll find another chance to go after Vania.”
“But what if Hanson gets suspicious after seeing those comments?” This was what Melanie feared the most.
“Find someone to deal with those comments then, but don’t bother with anything else.” Josie was feeling rather helpless too.
Melanie had nothing better to suggest, so she had to swallow her anger and nod in agreement.
…
…
Back at Luke Corporation, when Hanson saw the new information that exposed Melanie, he was intrigued and started to look into the IP address of the Twitter account that posted that information.

Does anyone monitor the comments? It would be great if someone would respond. That way I know if I should give up on this novel....
