Love or Die: CEO’ s Daily Dose of Swoon (Cordelia) novel Chapter 277

Dagmar was a formidable presence—a real powerhouse at the office, commanding respect and authority.

The moment she voiced her concern, you could bet your bottom dollar she had the evidence to back it up.

Kermit had no doubts about it! He swallowed hard, panic setting in, and blurted out, “Dagmar, you can’t do this to me! Even if you have the evidence, I’ll make sure you never work in this town again! I’ll tarnish your reputation so badly, you won’t land a decent job anywhere!”

Dagmar lowered her gaze, a sudden realization hitting her. Kermit, for all his simplicity and ease to manipulate, had no moral compass. Compared to dealing with Sanderson, handling Kermit was like navigating a minefield without a map.

The irony in her situation was not lost on her, though she chose to remain silent. Kermit's outburst had laid bare his true colors.

Turning to Sanderson, she saw him sigh before speaking, “Please, go back to your office.”

Nodding, Dagmar responded, “I’ll place my resignation on your desk first thing tomorrow morning.”

After bowing slightly to Sanderson—a gesture of respect and apology for her failure—she felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She owed Sanderson a great deal for his mentorship over the years.

Once Dagmar had left, Sanderson turned to Steward, his father, seeking his opinion. Despite being the CEO, it was his father whose word was law in the company.

“I’ve seen everything, Dad. Kermit’s been nothing but trouble. You know as well as I do how crucial expanding into the international market is for us,” Sanderson argued, referring to their first potential client abroad, Steve, as a gateway to further opportunities.

However, Kermit’s interference had jeopardized everything.

“What’s the plan for him?” Steward inquired, glancing at Kermit.

“Let him resign. He can live off his wealth in peace,” Sanderson proposed.

But before Steward could respond, Kermit erupted, “No way! If I leave, you’ll have full control! I know you’ve been wanting to get rid of me. So what if I stirred up some trouble? Am I the only one? Remember when we had to go overseas because you pissed off Bill, and nobody locally would work with us? That’s on you!”

Steward paused, then spoke, “Isn’t this a bit too much? Making Kermit leave won’t solve everything.”

But Laurinda chimed in fiercely, “You’ve been looking for a reason to boot Kermit out, haven’t you? Well, I won’t stand for it! You think you can just hand the company over to Cordelia and the Wilson family? Over my dead body! This company belongs to the Delaneys. Without a son, what claim do you even have?”

The room fell silent at her outburst.
