Love That Wasn't Meant to Last novel Chapter 87

Selena simply observed them in silence. As I gazed into her eyes, I found myself unable to comprehend the reason behind her sudden quietness.

With years of work experience, I disliked procrastination, so I handed the contract directly to the leader. "Here's the contract we prepared. Please review it for any issues. If you agree, we can proceed with the partnership, but you're free to decline since we have other options."

Despite their initial skepticism, they accepted the contract from me and began to read it. I couldn't see their expressions clearly since I had my head down, yet I sensed a palpable excitement in the air. Their smiles seemed to shine through, though I couldn't catch their words. Eventually, their laughter faded one by one.

"Why did you choose us?" asked the man with glasses as he closed the contract and returned it to us.

"Exactly. I have the same question. Big companies often claim we lack experience and abilities, yet you want to collaborate with us instead of other big firms. Is it a trap?"

It appeared they had been deceived in the past. Before I could say anything, Selena began to explain. She had clearly made up her mind and slowly shared her reasons.

"You are all newcomers to the industry, full of potential yet lacking experience. It's indeed risky to cooperate with you, but I still want to take a gamble.

"Wealth and honor often come from taking risks. I believe young people are more adaptable and capable of creating than older generations, which is why I want to collaborate with you. I've shared the contract, and whether you accept it is up to you.
