We owe each other nothing.
Days later, Quinn came back to California. Though she was sad to but she had no other options...
She headed straight to the Stones' Corporation immediately she left the airport. While on the way, she asked her assistant for reports.
"Everything is okay. I managed everything well in your absence." Avie smiled.
Quinn nodded and turned her gaze outside the window.
"President, I don't know if I should tell you this," Avie said awkwardly..
"What is it? Go ahead." Quinn smiled.
"CEO Henry is getting married in a few weeks time." Avie said.
She was well aware of Quinn's relation with Henry. Though she felt nosey but she felt Quinn had to know about it.
"Really? Okay." Quinn's short reply made Avie wonder if she did the right thing by informing her.
She focused on driving and didn't say a word anymore.
Quinn was deep in thoughts... He was finally getting married? That was great.
But why did she feel her heart clench in pain? She suddenly felt sad...
Why would she be?
It wasn't her business if Henry got married or not. It wasn't as if he was her lover or anything...
They got to the Corporation and Quinn headed to the VIP elevator meant for only the CEO.
She walked into her office and sat comfortably on the swivel chair.
Was she bothered by what Avie told her?
To be honest, she was a little bit bothered by it.
Her daughter's father was getting married, why wouldn't she be bothered?
Okay, okay... She wasn't fooling anybody.
She felt sad...
Yes, she was feeling sad.
She was human too, wasn't she?
Even though, they were never in an actual relationship, he was still the father of her child.
She remembered her mother's words...
She pushed the thoughts away.
He could do whatever he wanted...
When it came to status, Henry could no longer compare to her.
She was now above him in everything...
Even Kathleen wasn't fit to stand close to where she was.
Who was she?
Michelle Stone...
===============
It was late at night, when Henry drove towards a private Island. He found out where Quinn lived from his assistant's report.
Why would she chose such a place to live?
He got out of his car and walked over to the door. It was locked; the lights were also on.
It only meant one thing; she wasn't yet home.
That didn't matter, he was going to wait for her.
He had to know what she thought of him, tonight...
He had been deep in thoughts about her all day. He knew he wouldn't be able to sleep if he didn't see her that night.
So... He patiently waited for her return...
