Los Angeles.
Kathleen was carefully signing some documents, when there was a knock at the door. She raised her head to see her secretary usher someone in.
Arching her brow, she watched a handsome and yet confident looking young man walk in
"President, he refused to stay outside, while I announce his presence." Her secretary hurriedly explained.
"Who are you?" She turned to question the young man, who was comfortably seated on the chair in front of her.
"That doesn't matter. I'm here to strike a deal with you. Are you interested?" His voice was a bit distant.
For a moment, Kathleen thought it was one of her stalkers, but seeing his attitude towards her, she decided that wouldn't be the case.
"A deal? What deal? And I have to know who you are." Kathleen said coldly.
Did he think she was some pushover?
"I'm Stephen. You would find out who I am, as time goes on." Stephen said.
Kathleen was beginning to get irritated. What was he saying?
"Okay. What deal are you talking about?" She sighed and decided to ask.
"You want Quinn out of your man's house right?" Stephen leaned back and crossed his leg over the other.
Kathleen was alarmed. Who was this man?
How did he know about her and Quinn, and yeah, Henry too?
Kathleen chuckled,
"Quinn sent you here right? Well, unfortunately, I won't fall for your mind games." Kathleen stared straight at him.
Did he think she would fall for his little trick?
No way!
Stephen watched her in amusement,
"Do you know I can make this conglomerate become bankrupt?" Stephen smirked.
Kathleen remained unfazed.
"If that's the case, is there any reason for me to come over and play mind games with you?" Stephen hardened his gaze.
Kathleen sat up on her seat,
The aura he was exuding wasn't one from an average person. He was someone powerful.
He might as well carry out his threat!
"What do you want?" Kathleen cleared her throat as she asked.
"Now you are talking. What I want is very simple. I want you to make Quinn leave that mansion. In turn, I will help you establish your position as Henry's wife." Stephen explained.
Kathleen was stumped, his offer sounded attractive, but how could she agree to it?
Henry was blackmailing her.... She was in his clutches.
What if after Quinn leaves, Henry gets furious, and unleashes his anger on her?
He couldn't risk it in any way...
"How are you going to do that, if I may ask?" Kathleen asked.
"You would find out soon... I want to know if you are interested in my offer.." Stephen had a playful look on his face.
Sighing, Kathleen studied his expression.
She knew he was being serious. But....
As she was still hesitating, Stephen fueled her decision,
"Remember, she is now the foster daughter of the Stones. Sooner or later, she would kick you out herself." Stephen prompted.
And that did the magic...
Something clicked in Kathleen's head.
That was true.... Henry could blackmail her for all cared.
The most important thing was that, Quinn would no longer be in his house.
"I agree." She said quietly.
"Good. We would meet soon to put our plans in motion." Stephen smiled as he got up from the chair.
"Nice meeting you, Mr Stephen." Kathleen extended her hands for a handshake.
Stephen stared at her hand for a moment, and then accepted the handshake.
"So, when do I get to see you again?" Kathleen smiled.
"Soon enough." With that, Stephen sauntered out of her office without taking another glance at her.
================================
Stephen slowly drove back to the airport. The first phase of his plan was successful.
Get Kathleen over to his side.
He didn't want Quinn to suspect him after everything was done. He wanted to console her.
Without the existence of Henry, wouldn't she fall in love with him?
Yes... That was right. He had plans to wipe Henry off the face of the earth.
"Oops... What a pity." He kinda pitied Kathleen.
She would be the one poisoning him, without any knowledge that she was killing him.
After Henry's death, he was going to arrange some fake police men, to arrest her.
And then, he would bring her back to Washington DC, where he would say he saved her.
Flawless right?
He cheered himself inwardly for such a great plan.
What fueled his decision was that, Quinn hadn't even bothered to contact him over the past few months.
It was almost as if she had forgotten about his existence.
How could he stomach that?
She even came to Washington DC, for the annual celebration party of her family's empire. And yet, she completely ignored him.
Not that he appeared before her or something. But couldn't she have asked about him?
Didn't she ask him to pretend to be her husband? What was happening then?
He stepped hard on the accelerator and increased his speed.
Soon... Soon enough, she would be his.
And the good news? He wouldn't have to bother about his love rival anymore...
Although he didn't want to admit it, but he knew Henry was good looking than he was.
It wasn't as if he was ugly. He wasn't...
In fact he has the physique of a model.
However... Henry exuded a charm he himself didn't possess. A charisma which seems to beckon on you to do his bidding.
However, he wasn't going to accept defeat just like that. He had to put up a little fight.
But the fight he was going to put up now, wasn't in anyway little. It was a counterattack in fact.
Henry snatched his woman, and he was going to pay for his actions...
With something he valued most... Something he wouldn't exist without.
That was what he was going to take from him in return.
His life!
" Hah... I can't wait for you to be mine, my love. I await your arrival." He chuckled to himself.
He was in high spirits... Was there any reason for him not to?
Nah.... Not at all
