Henry's mansion.
It was a weekend and both Henry and Quinn were at home. They had just finished having breakfast, and they were in the living room, going through their laptops.
"Aren't you sleepy?" Henry asked.
Ever since he confessed to Quinn at her parents house, he had felt at peace with himself. In fact, after they had sex that night, he felt that they had become closer than before...
"Sleepy? I'm not." Quinn responded without raising her head from the email she was going through.
"Are you sure? Weren't you exhausted yesterday night? In fact, I can still remember how you were begging me to be gentle. Are you sure-"
"Shut up! Aren't you embarrassed saying those words at all?" Quinn threw a pen at him.
"Hey... What was that for? And, why would I feel embarrassed? We are grown up adults, and it isn't the first time we made love." Henry shrugged nonchalantly.
Quinn raised her head at his words. Did he just say 'made love'?
"Are we making love, or having sex?" Quinn closed her laptop, and placed it on the table.
Henry scratched his head, as he realized what he has said.
"Tell me Henry, what do you really feel about me?" Quinn looked at him directly.
Although she had heard what he had said that night, she still wanted to hear it directly from his mouth. She knew he was afraid to say it directly to her, considering the fact that he had hurt her in the past.
Quinn decided to give him a little push...
"Umm... that..." Henry stuttered.
"Are you nervous?" Quinn chuckled.
Henry cleared his throat, and looked straight into her eyes. It wasn't as if he was afraid to confess his feelings to her. He wasn't afraid of that, rather he was afraid of what her reaction might be.
He got up from his position, and walked over to her. Slowly, he knelt down in front of her, and took her hand into his,
"Quinn.... I know the amount of courage it took me to spill these words out. I ... love you." He paused and raised his head to see a shocked Quinn looking at him.
Although she had heard him say it that night, but listening to him say it now, in this manner had a different feeling to it. She couldn't say how she felt in words.
What was she even feeling? She was feeling numb....
Henry cleared his throat again and continued,
"I know I have been a jerk in the past. I even took advantage of you. But please, forgive me.... I promise to make it up to you, if you give me a chance to. I promise." Henry looked into her eyes.
"I love you Quinn." He sighed after he confessed to her.
Quinn opened her mouth to speak, but she couldn't. The words were stuck in her throat. She wasn't even aware that she was shedding tears. The tears cascaded down her cheeks, and she sniffed,
"I .... love you too, Henry." She sobbed.
She had always waited for this day. That night, when she had heard his little confession, she had prayed that he wasn't drunk or something. She hadn't wanted to raise her hopes.
But he had finally said it.... He loved her!
"But what about Kathleen?" She decided to ask. She didn't want any misunderstanding in their relationship. Good communication was the way to go.
"You see, to be honest with you, we were never married." Henry chuckled as he sat on the sofa beside her.
"What are you saying? You guys were clearly married, so?" Quinn furrowed her brows.
"Okay, listen... What we had was a fake marriage..." He explained everything to her, including the reason for his actions.
At the end of his explanation, Quinn was silent.
"Say something.." Henry prompted.
"Well, what can I say? To say I'm not surprised is to put it lightly. It's lucky we decided to have this conversation." Quinn smiled.
"Yes, it's lucky we did." Henry nodded in agreement to her words.
"Thinking about it, I think Kathleen is pathetic. Thinking she is married, when she is not. How would she feel if she finally discovers the truth? The expression on her face would be so heavenly." Quinn laughed. She didn't know why, but she hated Kathleen from the bottom of her heart.
"Do you hate her that much?" Henry chuckled.
Quinn nodded without hesitation,
"Yes, I hate he-"
Her words were interrupted by the sudden assault on her lips. Henry locked his lips with hers, as he grabbed the back of her hair.
He licked her lower lips, making her gasp. Henry took the opportunity to delve into her mouth. He intertwined his tongue with hers, and they engaged in a fiery battle of tongues.
Quinn closed her eyes, as she wrapped her hands around his neck. They had kissed before; in fact, they always kissed, but she didn't know why today's own was different...
Was it because he had confessed to her? Whatever was the reason, but the bliss she was feeling at that moment, was heavenly.
She could feel a sweet sensation enveloping her heart.
Henry on the other hand, felt like being in that position forever. He just wanted to continue kissing her like that.
Soon, they broke away from the kiss, to catch their breaths.
"So, we are now dating, right?" Henry smiled as he brushed a lock of her hair back.
"Nope, you would have to buy a right to date me..." Quinn teased.
"We should take it step by step right? Going on dates, then getting engaged, then getting married..." Henry pulled her closer and enveloped her in his arms.
"That is too fast." Quinn shook her head.
"Is it? I don't it is though." Henry laughed lightly.
"Let's get married." Henry was startled when he heard her next words. He pulled away from her, and looked at her clearly. He wanted to ensure that she wasn't joking.
"Are you serious? But you just told me that I was rushing, didn't you?" Henry frowned.
"Coming from me, is different. Let's get married, Henry. I want us to be married, before presenting you to my parents. I want my daughter to have a father." Quinn smiled through her tears.
