Irvin understood how Julianne felt. Even so, he couldn’t reciprocate her romantic feelings.
“It doesn’t matter how much you hate her, Lianne. You can’t do something like this,” he scolded her. “You know I’ve only ever loved you like a sister. It doesn’t matter what Emi did. We will never be together regardless. Don’t hate her even more over this, okay?”
Julianne’s birth mother was the Sawyers‘ housekeeper, Diana Sinclair.
After Irvin’s mother–Lizzie Windsor–gave birth to him, her body became frail. She had been too weak to raise him. Thus, Diana had practically raised him on her own.
Diana had raised both Irvin and Julianne. As such, they had one everything together from a young age. So naturally, they had formed a deep bond.
For Irvin, Julianne was like his own younger sister. Hence, he trusted her intrinsically and had always been indulgent toward her.
It was to the point where he would always look at things from her perspective.
When he found out she was behind Emilia’s bullying in the detention center, he wanted to blame her. Yet, he couldn’t bring himself to, especially when he knew how much she loved him.
Julianne loved him dearly but had been forced to be with his father. It truly was hard for her not to be hateful.
Julianne fists clenched even tighter upon hearing Irvin’s words. He kept insisting that his feelings for her were purely sibling–like. This was why she had gone out of her mind back then and made such a decision.
“That’s not true, Irvin! You’re too used to seeing me as a sister because we grew up together. That’s why you think you only love me like a sibling!” she protested. “You know you love me! Otherwise, you wouldn’t have spoiled me so much since we were young.
“If you want a biological sister, there’s Simone! She’s the one who’s actually related to you! We were destined to be together, but then Emilia came! She ruined my life! I… How can I not hate her!”
Julianne didn’t care how Irvin viewed her. She was adamant that their relationship was a romantic one. She had no choice but to do so. It was the only way she could rationalize her hatred for me. Only then would Irvin understand her feelings and love her back the same way.
Irvin wanted to say more, but then he noticed her obsession on the matter. It was as though she had been possessed. Because of this, he knew it was pointless to correct her. He could only let the matter go.
Even so, there was another matter he couldn’t let go.
“Lianne,” he said with a stern expression. “I know you can’t let go of your hatred for Emilia. Regardless, you shouldn’t have done what you did! Don’t ever bully Emi again! If you do, I’ll ship you abroad and forbid you from coming back!”
Irvin understood Julianne’s hatred. He had also deliberately ignored her hate–fueled twisted thoughts. However, he would never allow her to harm me ever again.
As Julianne’s drugging incident occurred seven years ago, the hotel in the video no longer existed. The places where I had my supposed episodic incidents were also no longer the same.
Hence, I was prepared to stay in the detention center for a long time.

Who would have imagined the big shots‘ former apprentices would uncover what had happened back then within a day?
Mr. Holland came to see me again. He had also brought along Harvey’s top former apprentice with him. The man’s name was Mark Ross. He was now a huge lawyer and had never lost a case. They came to tell me they had finished looking into my case and that I could leave.
