My exam spanned two days.

Irvin stood outside the exam center and watched me the entire time. His gaze was so intense that his buddies even felt heartbroken for him. Thus, they found a way to let me know what he had been doing in hopes I would feel sorry for him.
However, I didn’t feel sorry for Irvin when I found out he had been following me this whole time. Instead, I thought he was a stalker and passed him a warning through his buddies. I told them to tell him I would call the police if he continued following me.
His buddies were taken aback by my reaction. Having witnessed how strongly I had loved Irvin, they couldn’t believe I was completely unsympathetic. In fact, they were shocked when I had even threatened to call the police.
I went through my answers with Mr. Holland after the exam was over. Once I had confirmed I had no issues passing it, I finally relaxed.
Coincidentally, it was just in time for Julianne’s criminal trial for my near–death kidnapping.
Mom and Henry had been trying to see me these past few days. They wanted to convince me to drop the charges against her.
Today was no different.
I spotted them waiting outside the courthouse as I arrived. They immediately rushed toward me when I got out of the car. However, my bodyguards formed a one–meter perimeter around me before they could get close. Thus, my parents were blocked and also prevented from approaching me.
Henry was annoyed by this.
“You’ve got some nerve, Millicent!” he shouted.
I didn’t even glance at him. I had cut ties with him long ago so he was dead to me.
Henry became angry when I completely ignored him. Agitated, he yanked Jeremy’s arm and ordered, “Jeremy! Talk some sense into that damned witch and convince her to let Lianne go! Lianne is your sister! You can’t just watch as she gets sent away to prison!”
Henry knew it was pointless for any of them to intervene. That being said, Jeremy had the best relationship with me out of everyone in my family. Thus, he thought Jeremy would have the best chance of getting through to me.
Thus, he forcefully dragged Jeremy to the front.
However, unlike before, Jeremy didn’t speak up for Julianne on behalf of my parents. Instead, he turned and yelled, “Enough, Dad! Julianne endangered Emi’s life for goodness sake! She didn’t commit a petty crime–she tried to kill Emi! Julianne may be my sister, but Emi is my twin!”
Once he had finished scolding Henry, Jeremy turned and faced me.
His eyes were full of guilt as he apologized to me. “I’m sorry, Emi. I didn’t know Julianne was so malicious to the point where she would attempt to take your life. I’m sorry for treating you so terribly because of her.”
I met Jeremy’s guilt–filled gaze and smiled at how righteously he had defended me. However, I didn’t say anything in response. Seeing this, he didn’t say anything else, either.

The downside of being twins was that we could easily tell what the other was thinking and why one might have a change of heart.
Realizing that Jeremy wasn’t going to help him, Henry stopped shouting. He knew it was pointless to continue doing so. Instead, he followed after me. He tried pleading with me and even stopped referring to me as “Millicent
