His eyes were shining as he looked at me. They were devoid of the closed–off indifference he had shown when he first arrived.

I stared at him, unsure of what to say.

Eventually, I sent Irvin off with my emotions warring within me. Then, I packed up the device and prepared to return to the

hotel.

A young woman walked in just as I was about to leave. She wore seven–inch crystal–bedazzled heels that clicked against the floor with every step.

She looked at me and then glanced behind her. The two bodyguards in black, who had trailed in behind her, immediately rushed forward and grabbed hold of me.

I scowled and was about to speak up when she tossed a stack of papers before me.

“Sign these, and I’ll let you go,” she said haughtily.

Glancing at the stack of papers, I noticed it was a shares transfer agreement. The agreement stated I would be transferring the shares of both of my companies to someone named “Amara Hardwell“.

I couldn’t help looking up in disbelief at the woman.

“Amara Hardwell, I presume?” I said.

She looked at me in disgust upon hearing the name.

“How dare you call my name! Who do you think you are? Just hurry up and sign the agreement!” she shouted.

Then, Amara looked expectantly at me, waiting for me to obey so she could quickly leave.

“Are you insane?” I couldn’t help blurting.

Why would I transfer all of my shares to her? Who did she think she was? What was her deal?

Amara was incensed. “How dare you call me insane, you bitch!”

Then, turning to her bodyguards, she ordered, “Give her a good beating for her insolence! And once you’re done, hold her down and force her to sign the papers!”

Before Amara’s men could act, my bodyguards arrived in time and subdued them. They had rushed upstairs upon receiving my emergency signal.
