Chapter 337

I turned and saw Grace standing on the stairs, looking down at me like I was a bug she could crush with a single finger.
My hands clenched into fists instinctively at my sides.
Noticing them, she let out a mocking laugh. “Ms. Quill, are you regretting your disrespect last time?”
I stayed silent, my fists tightening.
Assuming that I didn’t have the courage to talk back to her, she smirked even more condescendingly. “Hopefully this will be a lesson for you. When it’s time to kneel, you kneel.”
Grace came from a prominent family and married into the wealthiest family in Lestoria. No one had ever dared speak to her the way I did at the hospital.
It had enraged her so much that she flew all the way here herself, even after sending Amara to do her dirty work. She wanted to see with her own eyes how miserable and regretful I’d become for provoking her.
Even so, I didn’t kneel.
She raised an eyebrow and asked, “What? Still don’t realize you should be kneeling, Ms. Quill? Or are you hoping your dear mentor, who had just gotten out of the hospital, ends up in the emergency room like your grandmother?”
She stared at me after openly threatening me, waiting for me to beg her for mercy.
But just watching me suffer wasn’t enough for her. She wanted to see me kneeling at her feet, apologizing and pleading for mercy.
Still, I didn’t move.
She narrowed her eyes and stepped closer. “Ms. Quill, you should know that-”
Before she could finish her sentence, I grabbed her hair and slammed her head against the wall.
All I ever wanted was to live in peace. She could have Irvin if she wanted. She could even do whatever she wanted to me.
But she shouldn’t have touched Grandma. If anything happened to Grandma, I’d take everyone down with me.
Grace thought I would beg in fear. She never imagined I’d actually lay a hand on her. She didn’t even have the time to scream before I smashed her head onto the wall.
She instinctively shielded her head with her hands, but the force of the impact still left her head spinning in pain. Before she could recover, I grabbed her hair and smashed her head again.
She was terrified by my rage and started to scream. “Help! Someone help!”
The more she screamed, the harder I slammed her head into the wall.
When her bodyguards burst through the door toward us, I kicked her to the floor and looked down at her coldly. “Grace, just wait.

Grandma. Mr. Holland.
They were my bottom line. Touch them, and we’d die together.
Since I was a child, I learned to never kneel in the face of a threat. Because once I kneel, they’d only bully me harder.
The only solution was to eliminate the threat.
I had people I cared about, and so did she. If she dared to hurt mine I’d destroy hers at all costs even if it meant dying together.
