Chapter 157 

Acella knocked on Ciara’s door. She hasn’t seen her all week and was willing to see her again today. She couldn’t keep waiting anymore, she knew just how much her heart craved to see her. 

She saw that no one opened the door and knocked again a few times and that was when Ciara answered the door. Ciara was beyond shocked to see her and didn’t expect her to come at all. 

Acella noticed that Ciara wasn’t her usual self. She looked like she was sick and her eyes were pully as if she had been crying. which made her very worried. She didn’t like seeing her like that and wanted to know what was wrong. 

“What are you doing here?,” Ciara asked, fear clearly written in her voice. 

Acella was taken aback by that sudden question because she was sounding as if she didn’t want to see her, which made her a little bit hurt by her choice of words. 

‘Am I not welcome here?” she asked in a low voice. 

Ciara realized that her question seemed to have offended her and wasted no time in apologizing to her in which she forgave. her in no time. 

“The sun is pretty hot today, can I come in?; she asked, using it as an excuse to ask her if she’s welcomed or not. 

Ciara nodded in response and let her in. She couldn’t help but just feel very guilty and seeing Acella at her house wasn’t making matters any better, in fact it only added to her anxiety and fear. 

Acella sat on the chair. She felt so awkward because she was seeing her again after their first intimate night together. She remembered how hurt she was when Ciara left without even saying goodbye. She didn’t call her or talk about it. 

She decided that she wasn’t going to be clinging because she didn’t want her to stay away or distance herself away from her and felt like it was the right time to talk out all that she was feeling 

Ciara didn’t even know what to say but the only thing that kept coming into her mind was what she just did and how she just hurt her. “I’m sorry, I didn’t inform you before coming because I had a lot on my mind and didn’t even know how to think right,” she said. 

Ciara wasn’t even offended that she came because although she was worried, she was also happy that she was here. She didn’t know why but the feelings that she had for Acella just disappeared immediately after she spent a night with Steve. 

She was much older than Acella and very much matured. She didn’t want to tell her off because she knew that she still very much cared about her despite what they were currently going through 

“I really miss you Clara, you just left without a word that day,” Acella said, scooting over to her sideways but Ciara immediately flinched and moved back away from her. 

“I think we should be like this, let’s maintain a safe distance,” she said. 

Acella felt her heart pierce just by the mention of that word. She thought that they were on much better terms and that they didn’t have to be so awkward with each other. 

She’s been trying so hard to just respect her privacy but after what she did she realized that she was nothing to Ciara. “You didn’t scoot over that night but today you feel the need to distance yourself away from me?,” Acella asked, trying to fight 

back her tears. 

Ciara felt so bad because she didn’t want her to feel that way and the real reason she was distancing herself away from her was because she was in so much guilt. She just couldn’t help it no matter how much she tried. 

You seem to be misunderstanding me Acella, it’s not like that,” she tried explaining but it was too late. 

Acella’s mind was already filled with so much misunderstanding and she stood up from where she sat. She didn’t see it as any reason to stay there anymore since she wasn’t needed and just wanted to leave.

Clara wanted to call her back and tell her that things aren’t like what she thought it was but it was too late because she already left and there was nothing else that she could do.
