Chapter 111
Chris‘ arms tightened around me even more. “I’ve already explained to you that I was drunk and befuddled at that time.”
“If you can make a mistake once, you can also make a mistake twice. As for me, some mistakes shouldn’t be committed even once.” I made my stance clear once again.
“Stop fucking flattering yourself!” Chris swore at me.
This side of him made me even more disappointed in him. I started to think that my brain must have been filled with sand. If not, why would I like such a pathetic creature like him?
“Madeline, you want to leave me so much just so you can fool around with other men. Don’t think that I’m stupid!” He was still trying to win the argument.
I was tired of arguing with him. “If you want to think that way, sure, whatever! I know you’re prideful and can’t forgive others who betray you.
“You should let go of such an unloyal, loose woman like me! Let me disappear from your sight. Wouldn’t that be better?”
I was trying to get myself out of this situation, but Chris became even angrier. He lowered his head to kiss me.
I tried desperately to dodge him, especially when I remembered that he kissed Jewel with those lips. It made me mad!
But the more I dodged, the more frustrated he became.
He pressed me on the table and shoved his hand beneath my clothes. “If you’re not letting me kiss you, who do you want to kiss? Is it Brandon? Did you sleep with him? Huh?”
His scornful words and crazed actions made me furious, humiliated, and
fearful. As his hands moved up my waist, I grabbed something. Without even
fearful. As his hands moved
thinking, I smashed it toward his head.
With a loud bang, I felt his wandering hands stop. Then, I saw his shocked
expression looking back at me. Something flowed down his cheek.

It was blood!
The warm blood dripped on my eyelid before sliding across the corner of my eye.
My hand shook as the back of my head was cupped.
Chris‘ cold voice sounded beside my ear, “Madeline, you’d better listen up. You are mine!”
Then, his weight on me disappeared, and I scrambled to get up. As I opened my eyes, I saw Chris holding his head while striding out of the room.
My legs shook. It was only because I supported myself with the table behind me that I didn’t fall.
“Mr. Gildon, you’re bleeding!” I heard someone scream from afar.
“Shut up!” Chris roared. Then, his footsteps receded.
I also closed my eyes wearily. After a while, I opened them again. I didn’t want my colleagues to see my disheveled state, so I went to the restroom in his office.
