My throat tightened. I wondered if Brandon intended for Chirs to share an 

observation cabin with us. 

Just as I was about to say something, Brandon took my hand and led me to another observation cabin. 

“Aren’t you going to take this one?” Chris‘ voice came from behind. 

“It’s not convenient, Brandon said as he helped me into the observation cabin. 

He stepped in and closed the cabin door 

Through the glass of the cabin, I saw Chris‘ expression darken. His eyes flashed with intense anger. 

He was really upset. 

Was this intentional?” I asked Brandon 

“Yes,” Brandon admitted with a confident smile. 

“I didn’t want to share a cabin with him” His tone was both proud and a bit childish 

I couldn’t help but laugh. 

I had to admit, Brandon was full of surprises. One moment he was a tough guy, the next a warm, caring partner. Now, he was being adorably childish. “Brandon,” I called out 

“Yes?” He looked at me, his eyes sparkling in the light. 

“You’re very cute.” As I said this, the music inside the Ferris wheel began to 

start 

That was perfect timing. 

“What?” Brandon seemed either not to have heard me correctly or was taken aback by my compliment 

I smiled and didn’t repeat myself. Instead, I looked out at the lights. 

As the Ferris wheel ascended, the entire amusement park came into view. 

I saw the carousel, the roller coaster, the lazy river, and the entire park shrinking beneath me. I also saw the surrounding skyscrapers and the bustling city below. 

As the lights changed in a dazzling display, my gaze was drawn back to the amusement park. 

The amusement park’s interior was designed for fun, while the exterior was meant for admiration. The dazzling city lights were the soul of the amusement park and the brightest star in Hilcord. 

So, this amusement park was not just a simple place for entertainment. It was also a new landmark for Hilcord. 

“Mae, I got you this. Do you like it?” I suddenly recalled Chris‘ words when he first presented the amusement park’s blueprint to me. 

That moment made me think he loved me. 

Otherwise, he wouldn’t have known about my dream of an amusement park. This was also a dream shared with my dad. 

Chris made that dream come true, but it ended before it could be fully realized.
