I never thought that I would ever be arrested for indecency.

The boy that I had knocked down was a 17-year-old teenager. He insisted that I had bad intentions toward him. Even if I denied it, he still insisted that I touched him.

"Where did she touch you?" The police questioned very carefully.

The teenager's name was Yerick Massey. He looked at me, pointed at his chest, and then pointed below his waist. "She touched me here and here!"

What bullshit!

I almost cursed out loud. I had never even touched a man as handsome as Chris. Why would I touch a brat who hadn't even gone through puberty?

The police looked at me again.

"I didn't touch him," I denied it before he could even ask me. "I just accidentally bumped into him."

"Did you drink?" The police looked at me meaningfully.

In this society, it was normal for men to be drunk. Women who drank even a little were considered indecent.

I nodded. "I did."

"How much did you drink?"

I really didn't know what that question had to do with what was going on. Still, I obediently answered the question. "A bottle of beer."

When the policeman gave me a look of disbelief, I immediately thought of Lisa who could testify for me. But it just so happened that Lisa had sent me a message earlier that she had been called back to the hospital to save a bleeding woman in labor.

I understood what the police meant and explained again, "I was not drunk, and I did not take advantage of this brat while under the influence."

The policeman took note of my words and looked at Yerick again. "Are you sure she touched you? You will be held legally responsible if you lie and frame someone else."

"Of course I'm sure." Yerick was really stubborn.

I was so angry that I wanted to get up and beat him up.

Before I could put this idea into action, Yerick's eyes suddenly lit up.

"Jewel, you're here."

His parents had been notified because he was underage. I turned around and wanted to explain everything to his family, but before I could say anything, I was stunned when I saw the people who had arrived.
