Chapter 890
Hayden had told Keira before that the Hart family wanted him to acknowledge his roots and return to the fold, but with a catch: he had to agree to an arranged marriage.
Now, Kylian’s approach seemed to contradict that condition, as he appeared to be accepting Keira.
Had they changed their minds?
If there were no strings attached, why didn’t they talk to Hayden directly instead of trying to persuade her?
It didn’t take much thought to realize there was something fishy about the situation. But Keira didn’t call him out. Instead, she played along, half–seriously.
“Oh, really? That sounds rare and wonderful, but…” Keira paused for effect. “This isn’t up to me. It’s Hayden’s decision. You know the saying, ‘A woman should follow whatever her husband orders.“”
Kylian coughed lightly, probably choking on her analogy. “Hayden has likely told you about his issues with the Hart family. He’s too stubborn, holding onto some old grievances. Right now, he only listens to you.”
“I’ve already said that I’ll follow his lead. If he doesn’t agree, neither will I. I love him and won’t force him to do something he doesn’t want to do,” Keira stated firmly.
Kylian didn’t seem upset by Keira’s unyielding stance. Instead, he chuckled softly. “You and Hayden really are two peas in a pod–both so stubborn.”
He wasn’t wrong. A couple needed to be united in heart and mind.
“Well, if you won’t persuade him and he won’t come back, then there’s nothing more to say. But I do need to warn you–Grandfather might get angry about this,” Kylian said, his tone carrying a hint of veiled threat.
Hayden had already told Keira this, so she remained calm. “You should advise him not to get too worked up. At his age, anger isn’t good for his health.”
Keira’s indifferent response left Kylian momentarily at a loss. “Alright, then. I’ll be off.”
Before leaving, he glanced around her home again. “This house really isn’t suitable for a married couple. You should find a new one quickly.”
“If you’re such an expert on this, Mr. Hart, and you’ve developed so many properties, why not help me pick one? I don’t even need a discount–just find one that’s good for prosperity, harmony, and fertility,” Keira replied, deliberately teasing him.
“Are you serious?” Kylian asked, taking her jest literally.

Chapter 890
“As long as it’s suitable,” Keira said casually. She wasn’t short on money, and buying another house could be a nice early gift for the baby.
“Leave it to me, then. Don’t worry about the cost. Consider it my wedding gift to you and Hayden,” Kylian said grandly.
Before leaving, his eyes lingered briefly on her stomach. “By the way, “are you planning to have a wedding ceremony?”
This was a question Keira couldn’t easily answer.
Hayden hadn’t mentioned anything about a wedding, and Keira wasn’t about to bring it up herself. Even though he had returned and dealt with the people who had caused them trouble, she could tell that Hayden wasn’t entirely at ease.
Perhaps he still carried unresolved burdens that he hadn’t shared with her. She didn’t want to add to his stress. Besides, a wedding was just a formality.
As long as they were happy together, that was enough for her.
