Chapter 94
This scene caught me off guard and made me instantly sober. It was pretty awkward–a woman stuck between two men.
I needed to make a decision to break this stalemate, and one thing was clear. I could never be with Conrad. If I had to choose between the two men, it would only be Brandon.
I almost got married to Chris. There was no way I would break up with him and end up with his brother instead.
“Conrad, I’m tired,” I finally said.
Conrad tightened his grip on me for a moment before finally letting go.
Still holding my hand, Brandon led me away. I didn’t look back, but I could feel Conrad’s gaze following me.
Either due to the alcohol or my chaotic mind, I stumbled on the hotel’s steps. The next thing I knew, Brandon was carrying me.
“Put me down,” I said, clutching his clothes.
“If you want him to give up, stay quiet,” he whispered.
Recalling Conrad’s words, I remained still. I could be in a situationship with. anyone, but not Conrad. I saw him as a brother, like my own flesh and blood.
I’d never thought of him romantically. This relationship was precious to me, and I didn’t want to ruin it.
Conrad was a reserved man who didn’t easily express love and wouldn’t persistently pursue someone. If he believed I had feelings for someone other than Chris, he would likely back off.
In the end, I allowed Brandon to carry m
into the hotel lobby, but he didn’t put
me down until we reached the door to my room.
I knew of Conrad’s feelings for me, so naturally, I could also tell Brandon had feelings for me. Since I had cut off Conrad’s feelings, I might as well put an end to Brandon’s too.

While Brandon let go of me, I continued clinging on to him. Grabbing the front of his shirt, I looked him boldly in the eyes.
“Brandon, you’re a handsome man,” I said, my words equally bold.
“Mmhm.” He was generous enough to let my eyes feast on him.
Given courage by the alcohol, I lifted my hand and traced the bridge of his tall nose. “There must be a lot of women who are interested in you.”
“Mmhm.” He was pretty confident.
I chuckled, moving my fingers to the corner of his eyes. “Kara likes you too.”
I wasn’t betraying Kara. It was just that her feelings for him were written all over her face. Brandon wasn’t blind. He had to have noticed even if I didn’t
spell it out for him..
“How about you? Do you like me?” This time, Brandon asked me directly.
I was slightly taken aback, then I shook my head. “No, I don’t.”
Brandon narrowed his eyes, but he didn’t ask why.
I explained anyway. “Brandon, I don’t want a man who attracts other women, because… I don’t like fighting over my man.
“I want someone who
as you are.”
